What do you mean, pull?

Yeah just buy them a drink and then ask for their number

In hockey you can pull out the goal and put an extra play on the ice to make it 6 on 5

Take him out of the game in favor of another player in an attempt to score a goal.

Sub out the goalie for a regular field player, like an extra forward.

The bigger question. Why are soccer's substitutions capped?

you can but no one will do it because it is kinda stupid

most of the time the GK just goes to the adversary's box in corners/fouls so they have one extra man

As far as I'm aware yes, but why would you? You'd get arsed raped every time.

Get your ass back here you slug,

Saved the Lighting in the NHL playoffs tbqh

It's a desperation option, when you're behind and basically have no time left, and have to score a goal. At that point, the other team scoring again doesn't matter, so not having a goalie isn't as important.

well, the goalie can just go forward for the last minute play since most of them are tall and can actually score a header

subbing him out is possible, but stupid nonetheless, since the opponent can just kick the ball and most likely get another goal, which will help them win time

>that music

The better question is can you give one of the gloves to your team mate and half 2 one hand goalies?

This is a stupid idea.
Anyway, the keeper can move anywhere on the pitch (although he can only grab the ball on his own area), so if you must you can sub the keeper out and place an outfield player as keeper and have him move out.
What usually happens is they keep the goalkeeper as the sole defender and move the CBs as forwards in a desperation move. Goalkeepers can also try to head the ball on a corner or free kick. You see this often in the last play of a knockout match.

GARUGAMESH

If you cut the gloves in half you could have 4 half-hand goalies

>not a single one of them used hands to score

I thought goalies are allowed to use hands

gr8 b8 m8

their number is always 1.

You could do that yes but it would be absolutely fucking moronic

Any quality striker or midfielder can accurately hit the opponent's goal from the half way line, so they would just hoof it and score a goal straight away

Well one thing that *does* happen for "desperation" is if a team have a corner in the dying seconds of the match, the goalie will sometimes go up and join his teammates for an extra player. But obviously it's high risk because if your opponent gets the ball they can bomb down the field and score. So they'll only do it if it's deep into injury time and they really need a goal

Second post best post

Poop is implementing this tactic for his shitty side as we speak.

It's the same in hockey, doofus.

Why would they do that if the other team is just going to score the moment they get possession?

Because in hockey the goal is significantlly smaller and the value of having a field player is higher because of the lower amounts of players in total. Putting the goalkeeper forwards would make sense if the field was half as big and there were half as many players on it: that's why it is done in Futsal and indoor soccer.

>that bicycle kick

Good point desu

The goalie can play outfield they don't need special equipment to play outside the goal fucktard.

Americans are absolutely baffled by the concept that you don't need to bring "special" players on.

Yeah because football goalies are well trained for attacking

But football doesn't have goalies.

This matters more in hockey because there arent as many people on the ice, so one extra can make a difference.

In soccer there are already so many faggots wandering around the field that ome extra person isnt going to do jack shit.

>amerifats call throwing a handegg football

Neither are Defensive midfielders or Centrebacks which you would pull for an attacker first before you go for the keeper.

Whether they're trained or not isn't the point, Rogerio Ceni's an example.

It's the rules of the game. The only thing different about the keeper is that he was to wear a different coloured kit and can handle the ball in his own penalty area.

Hockey has unlimited subs and you can change whole lines.
Football has 3 subs.
You'll take a Defensive Midfielder or a CentreBack out for a Forward long before you take out the goalie for one.
Even if you make 3 attacking Changes you'd still have one Defender to spare before the Keeper comes into play.

In hockey the goalie doesnt get pulled until the final 2 minutes of the game, ao its not like you'd be left with an irreversible substitution if you did it in soccer. It either works and you score a goal or it doesnt and you lose.

A draw is also a viable result in football

Do you think he really gives a shit about any of this 'football' knowledge?

No, but then again who cares, if it was viable do you think coaches wouldn't do it already?

Oliver Kahn did it once and said the exact same thing you said. GOAT keeper.

>jimmy glass goal saved carlisle from outright liquidation

Daily reminder it's been 7 years since Girugamesh

Seems longer tbgh fampai

underrated Japan humor

Because youre gonna lose anyway.

Because it takes 30-45 seconds every time for some reason when American football teams can sub out entire units in 10

At least one player from each team must always be the designated goalkeeper, and must wear a kit acceptable to the referee that distinguishes him as such
>t. an actual football referee

that said, there's nothing to stop that player being a specialized outfield player and roaming around the pitch wherever he chooses

Having one extra player in soccer isn't as big of an advantage when there's already 10 players

A six on five advantage in hockey makes it more worth the risk, along with how fast how fast and cleanly the puck can be passed around to an open player

Also, in hockey you can skate across the rink in seconds, so if your goalie is pressing forward and you lose possession he can get back much more quickly

op you're forgetting that for any sub there is a pause in the action unlike hockey

this makes a pretty big difference as if hockey required a pause in the game to pull the goalie i doubt it would be as common

Goalies can't press forward. They have to go to the bench and then another player has to take his place

barcelona plays always 12vs11 if you want to know

only in the own box

There's only three substitutions, and late in a game they will have been used up already.

goalies should be allowed to use their hands in both teams penalty areas.

>only three substitutions

For what purpose? It's like you purposely wish to injure your players

OH SHIT ITS GILGAMESH!!!

I think they'd be allowed to skate around if they wanted to, fæm.

The crazy ones come all the way up to the blue line during PP sometimes .

They're not allowed to go past the red line.
