6 year old me who had never been to a funeral asked God to look after snaily, dried my eyes and didn't feel so bad. But the memory lives on.
If my brother had reacted in any less a caring way I'm not sure I'd have much respect for him at this point, and animal cruelty would probably devastate me. Early lessons in grief are healthy.
