What's the AOTY of 2016 so far?

...

Wildflower definitely

AOTY thread?

This or A Moon Shaped Pool

Honorable mentions:
And The Anonous Nobody
Splendor and Misery

(with my AOTY being Professional Sunflow)

I need to check those Foans & Purson albums out. What are your favourite tracks on Kendo Dynamics?

The Purson album wasn't the best, but I haven't really been ontop of my 2016 listening game if all honest.

Favourite tracks on Kendo Dynamics would be either Calmstone on Sea or Dreams of Crystal. Love the whole album to be honest.

Pic related is another release from 100% Silk this year, i've yet to listen to it. But I loved Kendo Dynamics and Fronter so, must be good.

just checked these out

I like it man, thanks

MDE > Eric Andre > American Dad > Family Guy > Bob's Burgers > Home Movies (idk what that is)

I'll have to check these out

Exploded View is great. Love the hazy DIY production

Pic related is mine, there's a lot of good krautrock-flavoured stuff this year

...

Feeling this label. Thx for turning me onto them

Congrats is the only holy fuck album I listened to.
I just loved their very noisy indietronica style, definitely recommend.

pretty good but probably not AOTY.

I haven't listened to much this year though.

The Hecker is good but not my favorite of his. The Cantu-Ledesma is like a more mellow version of 13 Moons. Very good.
thanks man

By the way, check out Tangents - Stateless

right now wilco's new album is my fav so far

nice to see them get back to making a solid album

have you listened to Andy Stott's Too Many Voices?

I was putting off that dead c album, thanks for giving me the kick in the ass to listen to it (was great)

check out Luigi Tozzi - Deep Blue: Volume 2 (it's deep, deeeep, deeeeeep techno)

...

yes, it was pretty good but it's ultimately really not my cup of tea. at times feels like too much atmosphere and not enough substance.
if you're asking because I put Seiho on my list, even though I called it UK bass the textures are way different than Andy Stott's, much more bright, eclectic, immediate

Man, I dunno, I don't understand the 100% Silk hype and never have. Just seems like terribly mediocre house to me.

.

Radiohead and Thugger until Die Antwoord drops some next level shit in a few weeks.

>Die Antwoord drops some next level shit in a few weeks.
damn straight

also possibly EPoty

Hey it's me
I just got off the train
A frightening place
The faces are concrete grey
And I'm wondering, should I turn round?

+1 for The Body

Terrible opinión, might as well be 21 pilots

Looks like Moon Shaped Pool is the closest to a consensus in this thread. Guess I'll try it again. I'm gonna miss that old british host guy from the bbc preview stream.

52 minute album yet Glass Eyes isn't even 3 minutes long. Such a crime, that song has so much potential.

The Astonishing

An it hasn't even come out officially yet.

...

Lemon Demon - Spirit Phone
King G - Nonagon Infinity
Thee Oh Sees - Weird Exits
That's mostly it.

Home Movies is the best show there. I suggest that you watch it.

lol no

Objective best opinion

...

Home Movies is the best

This..When will pleb learn?

i know it's cool to hate this album, but everything from the concept to the playful jumps in styles (boom bap -> trap rap -> harsh noise) just endlessly keeps me coming back for more.
