What's the point of these threads? Why are there so many trips here? RYM is better.
Listen to your library, show off your backlog, babble about new music, do your best not to shitpost, play a piano with two other pianists sitting on your lap with one guy setting up recording equipment under the piano with one guy trapped inside hitting the strings with mallets with four more of these stacked on top of each other, just put 25 pictures of Miles Davis on stage, and just let the good times flow.
You can't answer to your own post tho, that's illegal

i could just rec you albums i've never listened to for a tourney, theres no rules against that. its better that way because if you havent listened to it they cant accuse you of having shit taste, at least not for that album. plus it makes you look way cooler if you win with albums you havent heard

personal taste normally but sometimes I'll rec something that's 50/50 whether they'll like it or not just to try and get them into something new, like reccing Rod music like Redskins and The Upsetters for his tourn.

I'm pretty sure this is actually promotional art for their 1998 single that's on that album "ゆらめき in the Air" so you're actually not too far off.

So I finally listened to Nation Time and it's pretty amazing. I love how the call and response of the title track is essentially part of its theme. The other two tracks were good too, but not so iconic--definitely explosive though.
In other news my ""reviews"" are getting lazier by the post
>Rudi – John Coltrane – Sun Ship This was fantastic. A bit on the repetitious side, and the “Ascent” track had some less-than-spectacular moments, but those are my only complaints. Everything else is top-flippin-notch. One of Coltrane’s best imo. 8.5-
>Terminus – Rudimentary Peni – Death Church hxc m8.
Had lots of fun with this. Only a few tracks that felt “lingering” and though I don’t consider myself a die-hard harcore (hue) fan, this was extremely satisfying. 8.5+
>Jangle – Tim Buckley – Copenhagen Tapes I thought this was pretty good, but really nothing special in my eyes. A few great performances, yes, but there isn’t much carrying a few of the needlessly-unending tracks. Even though it’s Buckley and incredible regardless, the gorilla sound quality makes it much less so. 6.0+
>Triangle – The New Sound of Numbers – Liberty Seeds The no-wave influence + angular rhythms were spectacular, but I can’t really shake the indie E6 feeling, which while I do enjoy plenty of their output, in this style I didn’t particularly feel it. 6.0-
>Yamir - Loren MazzaCane Connors & Jim O'Rourke - In Bern Occasionally beautiful but overall uninteresting improve/post-rock that’s praised because of its O’Rourke connections. If this were released under Explosions in the Sky (as it could be) it would be much more disliked. 4.5+
DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD
>Dam’s-Jans – Arca – Stretch 2 OI STR8 WONK M8 INNIT BRUV. Enjoyed some of the more dirty Hip Hop moments on here, but overall it’s everything that makes UK Bass/Wonky unappealing to me in general. Save for maybe “That’s Harakiri” I haven’t really enjoyed much in this genre. 3.0-
>Animal Brollective - Vangelis - Albedo 0.39 Really enjoyed the “Alpha” and “Pulstar” tracks. Otherwise very sub-par progressive Electronic with about half an hour of filter. Not for me. 4.0+
Ian Williams
>Jim Jazz – Little Kid – Logic Songs Invokes feelings I haven’t felt since early-era Elliott Smith god damn. Thought for sure I wouldn’t enjoy this due to the “lo-fi Indie” tags but this is really something special, and one of the coziest albums I’ve heard in a long while. On a few of the latter tracks the recording quality becomes slightly a detriment, especially when this guy is straining his voice making the playback constant fuzz. Still delightful regardless. 9.0-
>Vinter – Dreamend - And So I Ate Myself Bite By Bite Better-than expected Psych-Indie Folk, a bit of a post-rock-y dream pop feel in there as well, but not in a way that doesn’t hit. Not every track is perfect but enough is there to make you wanna revisit. 7.5-
>Mark And – Nguyên lê – Saiyuki Real surprised by this fusion of Jazz-Rock and Vietnamese Folk Music. This is (at least to me) just in name, as I am not familiar with the genre at all. However, this has a lot of spectacular fusion moments. Stinker tracks are barely present. Would highly rec to anyone who thinks Jazz + Rock + Traditional Indo-sounding Folk Music sounds appealing. 8.0+
Should've went with Blue Afternoon, probably his most underrated studio album.
