I've heard they're weird. There's a video of her at that p4k fest thing, and it was like, she and some dancers wearing these baggy white jumpsuits, and they were all doing this strange dance as Jenny sang. And then they cut off the jumpsuits and they were wearing clown costumes or something underneath. And I'm pretty sure part way through, they stopped the music and one of the dancers read some poetry or something. I'll try to find the video

There's an aggressively feminine undercurrent to her music, which is an unusual thing to behold in itself but which I imagine would make the average Sup Forumstant particularly uncomfortable. Notice she doesn't even get shit on like and doesn't get sexualized the way even Pharmakon can't escape. Jenny Hval is the spooky witch in the woods to Sup Forums's medieval cloistered community.

I can see why people take issue with Jenny. She can come off as pretentious, and my only live experience with her was, I hate this word, but cringe-y to say the least. But she has genuine musical talent, and the second half of Viscera is some of my favourite music of all time
