The Radiohead
Swans
Residents
Animal Collective
Panda Bear
Throbbing Gristle
Beach Bois
>inb4 muh trying something different-core

Did it even need to be said?

You're gonna need a bigger bait

Eh, their albums are broken up in groups imho
>Beach House/Devotion
>Teen Dream/Bloom
>Depression Cherry/Thank Your Lucky Stars

>Lush
Wrong. Their last album Lovelife is britpop, unlike their previous albums. And even their second album Split is noticeably different than Spooky (it has songs like Desire Lines and Hypocrite).

...

...

Hey, fuck you.

I guess this is true to an extent, but sounding similar=/=sounding the same

who you think you are, Mozart?

shut up, Beethoven.

>Mozart could even be alive at this point
Dummy

>sleater-kinney

don't think so mate

primus

every single song sounds exactly the same. bass wank and weird hillbilly crap

get out of my board NOW

basically every single metal band out there

I love Beach House's music, and i dont want them to change.

Too often bands "evolve" for the sake of evolving and the new sound sucks dick.

I hope Beach House continues making the same sound for another 15 albums. It's like being lost in a dream and it doesnt need to change.

Enya. But I still love her albums (except Amarantine).

...

...

>Dream Theater
They tried something new for the last two albums and it was very alright both times. It'd be nice if they tried something more metal. It doesn't have to have particularly impressive lyrics (i.e. Kevin Moore) or anything, either.

I kinda agree with it but not in a bad way

Tobacco/ BMSR

HUGE HUGE culprit of this.

Also Flying Lotus

AC/DC.

Not only do they write the same album over and over, but they write the same songs as well.

>Tobacco/ BMSR
Not really. I don't remember each BMSR album, except that Eating Us is more soft and dreamy than others, and every Tobacco's solo album is more abrassive than previous.

Came here to post exactly this, the only song of theirs that approaches sounding different is Thunderstruck if only for the intro.

Not really the most notorious example.

Falling Through a Field and Start a People are very distinct from Dandelion Gum.

To a much lesser extent, Fucked Up Friends is also different from Ultima 2 Massage.

I get where you are coming from but there are much better examples.

FlyLo is a bad example. 1983, Cosmogramma, Until the Quiet Comes, and You're Dead are all very different from one another.

Surprised no one's mentioned the Ramones yet.

>melt-banana
what

NOFX

Belle & Sebastian
Cake
Muse
Tame Impala

>Tame Impala
Nah

yeah, all of them a a very similar sound, but i woudnt say they are the same album

Literally only their new album doesn't have a distinct personality. Before this they actually did a decent job building on and expanding their sound. At least post reunion. Early Dino was pretty innovative and unique as far as noisy indie rock goes.

That's fair, Currents was a sizable step away.

I could just be blinded by the consistency and coziness of every release.

Sort of right I guess but it's more enjoyable than most Metal or Rock music nowadays

All pop punks band

/thread

fpbp

I wish this were true. Unfortunately you have dumbasses like Tom Delonge and Charlie Simpson who go off to form emo space rock bands then return to shit up the other bands with their "HUURR DURRR WE SERIOS NOW LOL" bullshit. Also

>all pop punks band
HAha having a stroke or something user?

Galaxie 500

They only wrote one song, but the song is good

Oh yeah, and all of their songs are ripoffs, Parking Lot is the exact same as Love You Girl by The Great Society

yeah all of their releases are pretty different, even innerspeaker had parker using much more of his lower range in songs like lucidity and the guitars were much more prevalent

Do you anons realize that OP described Led Zeppelin inadvertently?

>blur
>fucking BLUR

Shoegaze
Britpop
Britpop
Britpop
Alternative Rock
Noise Rock
Noise Rock
Gorillaz album

Did you just list the first few bands to come into your head?

Here's your (you)

and they're all great

>ctrl+f pink floyd
>no results

do kids these days just not know who they are?

Not that guy, but pop punk really does all sound the same. I can see why it has such a following on Sup Forums considering all the songs are either no gf bullshit or 14 year old boy humour.

Pop punk fucking sucks man.

Y
i though also

TYLS sounds more like devotion than it does Depression Cherry IMO

>Blur
I don't even like them, but holy shit they definitely changed up their sound.

PF didn't always make the same album, though. It got shittier during the later years (then again, what about them DIDN'T get shittier after they lost their talent)
The only ones I can really think that're much too similar are Wish You Were Here and A Momentary Lapse of Reason. They totally tried to recapture that thunder and missed. Other than that, they were pretty good about retaining something diverse in each album.

Yes, that's what he was referencing.

>Blur
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? LISTEN TO LEISURE AND THEN LISTEN TO 13 IF IT SOUNDS THE SAME TO U THEN UR A FUCKING DEAF RETARD

Checked

this gotta be a bait, if you put blur you'll have to put The Beatles too.

Okay Damon

What is every brostep dude
What is every power metal band
What is every grindcore band

>Brand New
Most of this list is accurate but Brand New doesn't really make sense, some of their albums are so different it might as well be a different band.

>deftones
is this nigga serious. if they didn't change they wouldn't be anywhere near as good as they are now. baited hard.

I would chew your ass for a good number of these, but everybody else seems to be doing that already.

sorry man but the post three above yours is better bait

I think you only checked out one album with a few of these bands

aint nothing wrong with that

Guided By Voices

That's the definition of similar

AC-DC is shit, kill yourself.
