Check it out, Sup Forums. I'm the wackest MC on this board.
I'm MC EmtyJee and I rap about Magic: The Gathering. I'm debating whether to expand to general nerdcore or not. I kinda want to.

I may be wack as fuck, but I love rapping. I have a total blast with it and it's one of my favorite hobbies. If you like me, that's awesome. If you don't, well that's okay too.
dog fuck em UUUUUP
for what it is it's actually kind of funny, definitely comparable to any "spoof" video on youtube
Besides Sup Forums, where else on the internet can I post my soundcloud? This is pretty much the only place I post
i love your sample choices, really reminds me of some of the madvillain interludes but a little more modern sounding
it was a pretty fun time, it'd be fun if you got into a less monotone flow that suited your content better. the beat is plain jane but wasn't bad by any means
>im bad
im only a few weeks into even using fl studio but im working on sampling from the vinyl i own, just having fun with it

That's fine, what subreddits? I'd just like to post somewhere besides here. Sup Forums soundcloud threads are a very contained audience.
just post on subreddits relevant to your genre
r/edmproduction and other subs like it are all garbage
try the subreddit of your DAW
like Ableton produced tracks or FL Studio produced tracks etc

does anyone actually listen to stuff the others do or do you just post your soundcloud links?
m.soundcloud.com
Dream pop, neo psychedelia
I think the majority listen including me. only get around to a few links though
I listen but I have never cared for anything I've heard, none of it is my thing at all. Most of these threads are 90% generic "beats" of various styles along with other stuff that basically just repeats the same few measures over and over again, it gets old and I'm not a fan of that anyway. I just don't post my thoughts often because I don't want to be a dick.
>Lo Fi, ambient, acoustic, industrial, synth wave
If you check out my stuff and want feedback of your own just leave me a follow, like, comment, or message on soundcloud. I'm more likely to respond to that than a reply on here.

thanks mang glad u dig! ye i used to have a bit 2 much going on before, i enjoy making more easy stuff nowadays
i listen through everything
but I like about a third of what is posted here
i usually avoid hip hop instrumentals, because it's the easiest and laziest music to make.
well, for more complex music you need some equipment, i don't if anyone from us has more than just a pirated version of fl studio/cubase/ableton and a lot of sample packs
Seriously. Why are there so many beat producers on Sup Forums when this type of music isn't even popular on this site. Trap and ambient electronic are close behind as well. It's rare when find someone I like from these genres because it just sounds like the majority are very derivative in sound, like they used stock sounds.
As far as any other genre posted, they tend to be way better.
Can I hear your music?
This is me
don't know*
This is pretty sweet. I do feel like your cymbals good be turned down a little bit though.
I like what you're doing here. I think the mix could be better though.
I think your transitions could be a little better. Add some more variety to your riffs. Otherwise I like this since I can't think of anything this reminds me of.
Im not into this style too much but I think you need to roll the highs off in the eq on everything. otherwise its not too bad.
I like this a lot. We're also from the same town my man. 616 baby.
brah this is tight as fuck. I don't have anything to say other than I like it especially w/you. I like the sample in the beginning and how it drops after the arigatou.
I'm still going through and listening to others. This is my latest work
soundcloud.com
I understand that, I'm not trying to be critical or generalize everybody's stuff, I was just saying why I never really post my thoughts. I also am just generally not into most of the genres posted here, I don't necessarily think they are bad but I they don't really appeal to me.
I wouldn't say other genres posted here are better than electronic stuff, in general we're all pretty amateur though there are some really great things that get posted from time to time in all genres.
I'm a little hesitant to link my stuff since I don't want to be known as "that guy" from now on or anything. I like your work but I get a similar feeling from many things posted around here. Let me explain: it sounds nice, it's atmospheric and (around the 5:30 mark for you) there are occasionally really interesting things happening. But it still feels stale to me, like after a minute of listening it felt like I'd listened to the entire thing, you know? This just isn't for me, I could imagine myself enjoying it in the right atmosphere or if it was in a movie or something and fit well, but just as something to listen to, it's not for me.
fuckin dick kill yourself or post your shit
wow rude -_-

>Whitch House
I thought I articulated myself pretty well and explained clearly, in a non insulting way, why I'm not a fan of most things in these threads. No need to get so upset someone doesn't like your stuff. Hell, I barely like my own shit anymore.

>ambient, alt rock, lo-fi, psychedelic, singersongwriter, etc.
I've got a bunch of material, but only 3 songs on this account so far
someone got their little feelings hurt
I really like your voice. And you have a good ear for melody. Also in general this is mixed really really well.
I'm the second guy.
What I mean is, for the instrumental hip hop/electronic/ambient, as far as my observations go, it's a lot of Introducing layer of sounds one by one, with not a lot of changes in dynamics or structures. There are exceptions, of course.

>lo-fi beat tape

the first part of a 47 minute compilation/mix i did. there's about a year's worth of ideas and loops jammed in here and most are less than 2 minutes long so i actually encourage skipping around. side 1 starts with a War Paint sample and ends on a Kaki King sample
both sides available for free at mynflw.bandcamp.com
rex:
No offense but I think you've got to take a break from the music. How can you like anyone else's stuff if you can't like your own music. I appreciate you listening to my track. But until I hear your work I can't take your opinion seriously
Okay, this is me: I do the vocals and editing. We broke up cause we all moved far away from each other so I have been on a break for a few months now and that's not changing anytime soon.
