I have a soulseek problem if anyone here can help. I opened it and it made me log in and all my shared folders were no longer there.
I went to the C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\SoulseekQt\1 folder and recovered the 3 configuration files, 2 of them with the old config and the 1 new one. Deleting the new one and trying to use the old one doesn't work because it just creates another new config without the old data when i restart it.
every time you login it forgets your shared folder?
my program doesn't ask me to login every startup, I've forgotten my password. Perhaps you can fix your problem by enabling that

It asked me to login when I first booted it up today, and there were no folders shared and some other things were gone (like wishlist, user list). It might be because I shut off the computer improperly yesterday but idk.
I had a bunch of shared folders, and not just one single one like the whole music folder. i just don't know if the client is able to use the old dat file that i still have.
Anyone who downloaded this that can tell me if it's legit? I don't really feel like taking a chance.

In Stimmung, Stockhausen attempted (rather succesfully) to compose a piece based on one note (b flat) and its natural harmonics. Not only are the six singers assigned one of the harmonics, but they're instructed to sing in such a way that they produce different pitches while maintaining a note by using vocal overtone techniques, which in turns brings up the natural harmonics of each note, multiplying the original one tonal b flat pitch into 108 pitches: twelve different tones for each of the three women's voices, and twenty-four for each of the three men. The piece is divided into 51 "moments" or "combinations" which carry a set of simple instructions that become complex when juxtaposed, and amazingly textured when the six voices join in. These instructions affect elements like rhythm, the particular harmonics to be sung, syllables to use as "modes", random words to use as tone-setters for each combination and other variables. I suggest reading the article on the all-Stockhausen blog Sounds In Space for both a more technical analysis and a more literary personal review by the author of the blog.
Stimmung can mean several things (as is the norm in german). It means "tunning", but it also means "humour" and "ambiance" amongst other things. The name reall fits the piece. It's beautiful, haunting, trance-like and (almost) unique in Stockhausen's monumental and polystylistic repertoire. Ten thumbs up.
how do I use mega? I download it as a zip file and it just transfers it to somewhere and I have no idea how to get to the file so I can open it once its done downloading, because its not showing up anywhere on my computer it just says transfer complete.

how odd, does it say 100% or completed? Sometimes it snags on 100%. Failing that you can try getting an account and using megasync, or search for the file on your computer (assuming you're using windows - I hate the windows search function so much, I recommend using voidtools' Everything program, but this is a lot of work to find one file. Either way I recommend downloading)

Once your file is done downloading the bottom of your screen should show the name with a drop down bar. Click that, then show in folder.

IMO these threads should mostly be people recommending albums and also posting download links, not people requesting random shit that you can find on rutracker/soulseek/tpb/blogspot etc.
If you're on a college campus where you can't pirate music (although soulseek being blocked is kind of a stretch...), is the effort of downloading albums even worth it? Just download Spotify and if you are really poor don't pay for premium, even though Spotify is cheaper if you are a student.
