Is there anything else that even comes close to this?
Yeah seriously.
This was posted in an older thread, it's pretty comfy and shoegazy.
For anyone that already knows about Japanese Breakfast, would you say she's worth seeing live?

judge for yourself nig
>tfw can't go to see her 21+ only show
sad
Looks fun, already have a ticket to go see Crystal Castles on the same date as her show though. I think it might be worth seeing, support the artist and all that. I just got to sell those CC tix now.

what the fuck im scared
Just delete the track user it will be over soon
Just delete the album user it will be over soon
What are you favourite 2016 shoegaze/dream pop albums so far, lads?
Haven't been hit with this many feels in a long ass time
Just delete iTunes user it will be over soon
But user, this isn't iTunes.
Superior SDIG album coming through
Just delete yourself user it will be over soon
actually...
My nigga
This one's not bad but it's so similar in style to the superior Ceres and Calypso I don't think I'll ever listen to it again.
I might give this one another shot, but it didn't really stand out to me first time around.
Easily
yes. yes there is.
What album is this?
This, honorable mention to
saw them play in this tiny little pub in bristol last year while on acid. Was pretty great. Not sure what the girl in the band does other than whisper in to the mic and look attractive
Autechre - Tri Repetae
Starflyer 59 - Gold
kek
Saw them in Oakland once opening for True Widow, during some of the set, she wasn't even on stage. Don't see why she doesn't have any role other than that..
at one point she started half-hartedly tapping a tambourine but you couldn't hear it at all.
Turnip King
youtube.com
I like this a lot. NY band
turnipking.bandcamp.com
>Jane Cum
L-Lewd
it's a pretty lewd album
And does it fit the general.. dare I say it.. aesthetic? Or does it feel forced/out of place?
It gastr del sol?
LSD&TSFG EP is better than Souvlaki imo.
saw em in Santa Ana but the sound system was really shit. Also it was outdoors. Outdoor shows aren't great for Shoegaze music. That girl's super cute tho
Only track that seems out of place is Rugged Country. Don't really see anything out of place with putting a kind of concisely climactic song in an album that mostly consists of emotional pop tunes.
honestly at this point I think it would be simpler to just write the whole name out rather than trying to figure out the acronym
So is this noise pop?
I'm asking if it's appropriate to talk about this in this thread.
Cause if it is noise pop.
It's probably the most freely creative noise pop in a long long time.
I just call it their s/t.
Pick one
Anyone have the full video of Ride at Bestival? want to relive it after seeing them in a small venue a few days ago
best thing to come out of Sup Forums, surprisingly an amazing album
Pity Sex are amazing, not strictly shoegaze though.
Seen these at Macnhester and the sound system was fucking awful. Got so bad that half the crowd (myself included) walked out.
>Deafheaven were on in the next room so it was okay
Anything similar to pic related?
Pity Sex are amazing, not strictly shoegaze though. Very sad to hear britty is leaving ;_;
Incorrect
2bh it sounds like some instrumental on a Kanye Album
imposemagazine.com
Sick single, I think they have a full length coming out soon too. Very interesting take on the genre
hells yeah dude turnip king is sweet. saw them with a while ago down in nyc, great show
picked up spc eco, hadn't heard of them before. thanks user
Yeah they're basically Curve two.
Actually it's not even like Curve two. It's Curve with a different singer.
Hey foliage, do you play shows?
What did /shugazi/ think of this album?
Personally loved it and looking for more like it
Any other songs like Fade into you? It's my favorite shugazi song of all time but I can't find much else like it.
Does Dan know he made the best shoegaze song of all time with I Don't Love?
really makes you think...
(before this thread dies an abrupt death:)
I love all of you anons
No problem pal
Pity Sex is going to lose a lot of their charm when she leaves the band.
as far as i remember in one of the interviews he said for him the best song is The Big Gloom
but I Don't Love is masterpiece

you guys like true widow right
More like this?
Does anybody have a shoegaze/dream pop chart?
...
What does /shugazi/ think of Asobi Seksu?
Really dig both of these, thanks lads.
This why I still come to this shit-hole (Sup Forums in general I mean, can't hate /shugazi/)
They're ok
Wish they could have put something out that maybe had the songwriting put into citrus with effects like pic related
Who wants to add to/fix this
Am I the only one that only likes Psychocandy out of TJAMC's discography/
Thoughts?
no
but the only other one i've listened to in darklands
not bad
Haven't seen this posted around here for about a year now.
>fix this
Right click on the file, and click delete while holding shift.
It seems that most people only like or listen to Psychocandy. Darklands isn't bad though, and I have that Barbedwire Kiss release that has some good tracks.
like a month ago someone recommended Oeil to me
they're fuckin cool
It was great, also enjoyed the two EP's before this
>Oeil
>two EPs from 2007 to 2014
LSD & the Search for God status
I need to listen to it again. Was pretty good on the first listen.
Rec me some good Japanese shoegaze.
My Dead Girlfriend - Hades
My Dead Girlfriend - Ixtal
Oeil - Urban Twilight
きのこ帝国 [Kinoko Teikoku] - ロンググッドバイ
most or all should be in the archive!
Have some Korean Dream Pop
this is lovely, i'll try to find a dl for the EP later for sure
Grabbed it from what.cd, I could upload to MEGA if you can't find it
Also on the off chance that someone in this thread speaks Korean, I'd love to know what this group is actually called.
I've had conflicting reports (what.cd says "Dream Car," google translate says "Bring Your Camera to Make a Dream" and the guy who rec'd them to me said they were called "I should have brought a camera to my dreams"
Hey so can you upload that to mega now
꿈에 카메라를 가져올걸 - Disappear
>Dream Pop, Korean

woo thanks pal
Really happy to see /shugazi/ back in action. It's been a long time since we've had a thread that's lasted more than an hour.
This album is so good. AOTYSF for me.
Ever listened to Loveless pitched one semitone up? It's an interesting listen. Some tracks aren't as good but others improve vastly.
youtube.com
Significantly better shoegaze than Souvlaki imo, but Souvlaki has had a more profound effect on the movement as a whole.
That being said, pic related is better than both.
Collection of charts (often included in OP)

I agree with this so much. Citrus was the better album by far, but this had such a beautiful atmosphere.
They're an awesome band. Urban Twilight is in my top 5 favorite /shugazi/ albums.
Download of my collection of Kinoko Teikoku's discography. I don't have everything (namely 2nd Demo), but I do have most of it.
mega.nz
Quite good. Kind of math-rock inspired.
This was kind of a let down desu.
Still I'm glad theyre back and even more glad they reissued their s/t
I do not see enough talk about this album. God-Tier
try a band called Les Discrets they're close enough
