Not a guilty pleasure.
The scene and the fans and the icons associated with this are cringe and disgusting, but from a pure musical craft quality standpoint, this should be a quintessential standard of both Pop punk and Emo.
The overproduced Broadway aspects just speak even more strongly to exactly what the (fantastic ) lyrical content is commenting on. This is the album equivalent to the film "Se7en".
My Chem takes you on a tour through about 7 different styles of heavy metal, and serial kills them all by fusing the with emo-punk and pop stylism.
