funk alternative hip hop Austin
Different, definitely interesting.
Foot fetish rap isn't my cup of tea. I chuckled, though. Also your album came out the day after my birthday, so there's that.
Pretty good actually. I loved when the guitar came in on the first song. Downloaded.

I really dig this, user. Keep up the good work.

This is pretty good. Something about it reminds me of The Scene Aesthetic, and I have great memories listening to that band in high school. It's triggering my nostalgia.
Thank you so much! what did you listen to? just wondering
A little bit of everything, mate. Black metal, punk, psych, noise, post rock, dark ambient, shoegaze, the works.

Digging this senpai
Didn't listen to it all the way. Sounds like a pretty ok ambient work. Mixing and mastering seems good. I don't care that much for the theme even though it seems to be consistent. Sounds just like an ok ambient album but nothing really pops out or brings something new to the table.
Good day to you all!

Lovely dreamy stuff. Really impressed! Keep at it.
Houses is huge. A touch heavy for my tastes at times, but really enjoyed it.
Sounds very good to me. Really enjoyed the grouped vocals on the first track.

"Mr Trucker" has pretty bad quality imo. Vocals and the guitar sound horrible. "Mrs Andman" is the same story. "Jennifer Syme" is different. I liked the vocals and think it has a more dense ambiance that really fits the music.
Personally, I would set it to name your price.
LOL yeah I'm not using anything but audacity. I wouldn't consider myself a good musician by any measure honestly.
Audacity itself is not bad, but I think the builtin EQs are pretty shit and the general workflow is too clunky. Working with an actual DAW and better effects could really help the post production process.
This is the type of stuff I'd listen to on tape in a dark room.

nah
Well I am glad to hear that it's not my music in particular that's bad but the mix and way it sounds. I can live with that. It's just a rough demo anyways at best.
Here
and Both have created a really impressive immersion experience. I like how the sounds hug each other and create new subtle colors. Beautiful works :D
The way you use synths is beautiful, touching. It's kind a futuristic Twin Peaks vibe. Love it.

Description:
"Bummer jams about a loved one's alcoholism and attempted suicides."
- First Thought Worst Thought
First Thought Worst Thought's Buried in the Bed is a blur. In a metaphorical sense. The blend of shoegazey folk and hazy, blunted lyricism, filtered through a lens that borders between consciousness and drunkenness, gives the listener both a feeling of rest and restlessness. In that, there comes the beautiful blur.
Now available for stream and download!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give First Thought Worst Thought some love. Thank You. :)
Will still be accepting submissions for the label.
I have a couple of other questions too.
1. Is there any rapper in these threads who would like to collaborate on an upcoming project?
2. Who would like to help get involved and donate some money for a school fundraiser of mine?

Well, I think your problem boils down to context and expectations.
I think that the problems are that you fail to discern (not meant with any bad intention at all) the stylistic differences between regular music and Sunn O))), and between average drone and Sunn O))), your listening situation difference of a concert (particularly a Sunn O))) concert), and any mixing and post done between regular music and Sunn O))).
Did I hit the mark at all?
Call it stupid, but it seems to me that I had to take about a week after a 9/10 ambient set and a 10/10 drone set to sort-of return to an equilibrium. Although, I don't think I felt this way as much when I played concerts. I think this is also because I do all of my own music through headphones (I did rock band recording and post prod with both speakers and headphones) and the hearing loss and difference in experience is jarring.
I know I've sorta repeated myself, but I think that's your answer.

Not usually a fan of Nyetscape or vaporwave.... but this is actually super enjoyable if you're into chopped and screwed plus this album art rules, totally captures the mood.
frentic footwork infused with ambient, dub, soul and uk bass music. Almost like the audio equivalent of being stuck in a hazy spaced out time lapse with everything around you merging into one fast faced blur.
how the hell does nyetscape do it i don't even like most vaporwave or that whole scene but everytime he releases something it's right up my alley

I don't even think it counts as vaporwave, Nyetscape just refuses to get rid of the tag he's fucking phenomenal at building atmosphere in tracks that have no right being atmospheric. Hate that he keeps tagging along with the vaporwave scene it's seriously holding him back.
