Who is the first musician who pops into your mind when you think of the Fender Telecaster?
Who is the first musician who pops into your mind when you think of the Fender Telecaster?
bruce springsteen and I barely know him
bruce springsteen and I don't like him
jim root from slipknot
Brad Paisley
Same for me but I'm gonna say Springsteen anyway so I don't look like a retard.
are telecasters comfy? been wondering if I should get one or a jazzmaster
Jazzmasters are shit dude. I'm not just saying that because it's the "indie" guitar either. Get a Jag if you insist on getting one.
jonny greenwood
Joe Strummer
>comfy
so sick of seeing this stupid fucking meme word
what about the tele?
I say it in a good way, I mean is it comfortable and light?
duh, albert collins.
Frank Black
keef richards plays a telly

lou reed

Kurt Cobain

Jeff Buckley
He played Jaguars, no?
Muddy Waters
Tom Petty

richey edwards
Norman Westberg or any one of 9000 country guys
I think of my cute little guitar sitting in my bedroom
Either Albert Collins or Jimmy Page.
Danny Gatton
who is he and why do I want to fuck him
el hefe from NOFX
Yo big ups to this patrician motherfucker right here.
Good choice.
Every vhs boot I have 90-92 had a telecaster. I don't know if he played that in the early nirvana days.
Read an article where he pprefered the two pickup and I cant cite that source
Weird. I can't remember ever seeing him with a Tele.
Nevermind, he liked one pickup
Bruce Springsteen
everyone who didn't say springsteen is lying

Tell that to Keef
>tele custom
I think of that anime girl with the pick in her mouth tbhh
Mike Kinsella
between 90-92 kurt favored strats and jaguars/mustangs
i believe he only had 2 japanese telecasters that just hung around as backups, he did his first tele once or twice at the most, but that was about it. the 2nd telecaster he got was one fender sent to him in 94 during the european leg of the in utero tour, kurt died before he was able to use it live.
the bloke from arctic monkeys
not this one though, the other guy
frank black / black francis.
i used to hate how the headstock looked and didn't care for the twang, a year or two later and i fell in love with teles. i had a huge fascination with frank's japanese contemporary telecasters but then quickly moved onto the standard set up telecasters. i had a mexi standard and then like 2 years ago i bought a modern player short scale telecaster, pic related, it's pretty comfy and well built for a
>Every vhs boot I have 90-92 had a telecaster
Google image search "Kurt Cobain live" and you will find almost none of them
I'd either think of John 5 or Waylon Jennings.
johnny marr
most would associate him to the rickenbacker, but most of the sound on the first few smiths albums is from the tele
Toby kieth
I think of people constantly telling me my fender p-bass has a telecaster head...
nah, bruh, 1968-1971 the redesigned the fender p-bass so the headstock was shaped like a tele before giving it a second redesign and renaming it a telecaster bass in mid-1971.
Do you have the Squire California Vibe series?
he was the manic street preachers "guitarrist" and you want to fuck him because hes beautiful.
Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen and Early Jimi Page
This Goy
Ted Greene was the first that came to mind, then Ed Bickert.
But they don't really have twangy tones. Albert Collins is probably the best representation of a Tele player.
Did not he kinda invented it? Heard something about he putting a Gibson (hb) in neck and a sc from a lapsteel in bridgeposition.
Objective Meanings of Guitars:
Fender Strat: Usually played by try hard fags. Occasionally played by legit guitar players.
Fender Tele: Generally played by reliable but not overly talented guitarists.
Fender Flying V: Fuck right off
Other Fenders: Indie fags
Gibson Les Paul: Played by rich 15 year olds who want to be slash or fat 45 year olds who shred.
Gibson SG: Played by cancer
Other Les Pauls: Actually skilled guitarists
Jackson: Douchey metal players.
Ibanez: Reliable metal players
Epiphone Hollow Body: Solid blues players
Epiphone Anything Else: Poorfags
Norman Westberg
Avril Lavigne
>Fender Flying V
her signature tele is actually cool beans if it didn't have that emoe skull and crossdicks on the fretboard
Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice
Richie kotzen
Keith Richards
>Gibson SG: Played by cancer
No user, you are the cancer
meat
...
Johnny Greenwood
Agree with pretty much all of this, with the following revisions:
GIBSON Flying V: Fuck right off
Gibson LP: Played by rich 15 year olds who want to be slash and people who confuse outdated and shabby design for "vintage"
Anything Gibson: Sheeple buying overpriced gear based on brand name and advertising while ignoring potato quality production
Schecter: Whiny emo metalcore scum
Agile: Djent wannabe scum
ESP: As with Ibanez, but low-key
LTD: Poorfags who play metal
neither of you good anons have addressed The Squier Question
Brokebois, of course
Roy Buchannan
>Ibanez: Reliable metal players
Please, Ibanez is the try hard 15 year old
>Fender flying V
Credibility of this post = zero
>Other Fenders: Indie fags
v accurate
poorfags or female musicians that just started learning guitar and are riding the feminist art wave
oh
Pretty much.
karate kid
Nothing wrong with a Squier, they make perfectly good guitars. Especially the Classic Vibe series.
Take what you read here with a pinch of salt - people sperg out about others spending money on Gibsons and American Fenders yet berate Epiphones and Squiers for being cheap.
When it really comes down to it, it doesn't matter in the slightest what guitar you play so long as you can play it well.
came to post this one
The master of the Telecaster!
Roy....and this is why:

Posters like you are why this board is in such a terrible state
>Nothing wrong with a Squier, they make perfectly good guitars.
No, they make perfectly adequate beginner guitars, not good, but not entirely bad.
There is a huge difference between a Squire and an AM Fender before you even plug it in.
Tom Petty is the first to come to mind. Bruce Springsteen is the second.
Dylan Carlson
Last person I expected to see posted in a guitar thread
Suppose he did look good posing with one though.
