Patria --> Fatherland
Madre patria -- > Motherland (literally Mother fatherland)

You don't say motherland, you say "fädernesland", which would literally mean "land which is related to you on your father's side", or "fosterland", meaning something like "land of your upbringing" or "land that raised you".
"Motherland" is "Moderland" in norwegian, but we us "Fedreland" which is "Fatherland" in english.
Unironically, it is Fatherland in russian.
