That is objectively untrue. Quebec's GDP per capita and average weekly earnings are both the tenth highest of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. Only the Martime provinces do worse. Quebec also has a much higher cost of living than the Maritime provinces, meaning that comparatively speaking they are even poorer.
