this is what we do in forests vimeo.com/85275951

No we don't have any at all

fag

I live in 12 million city and we have forests inside it. National park even.
> Do people usually spend time in them or not?
People collect mushrooms in autumn.

I am afraid of our forests.
We have bears, wolves, boars, snakes, wasps ond other dangerous shit in there.

Our country's 70% is mountain including forests.
yes. we like camping.
there is a small mountain with pine forests behind my town.

yes i live in a village well known for its forests
ps: i took the pic last year

fag

cool, your tourism ministry is also pretty good t making videos

>People collect mushrooms in autumn.

UK doesn't have many big ones but we have lots of smaller ones outside cities. There's one very close to my house which I like to walk in but it's only a few square miles in area :/

I must say that I like that video. Must have been great filming it.

I live right next to one of the only forests here. Lucky desu

I have to pass through a little forest on my way to the city. It's nice.

all the more reason for some compensation
I wouldn't want to miss a city's amenities either but I like to go for a walk or bike in the woods now and then (especially with the butifel fall colors until recently)
feels like being healed desu
it's a slav thing
but I have fond memories of doing that every year as a child. would totally be up for it if someone were to come along.
>tfw Eastern Europeans literally being dropped off near our forests to collect tons of mushrooms has become a slight problem for authorities

it's the only time to pick them. youtube.com/watch?v=csGf5k35-wI

Yes our capital county of Oslo is 80~85% forest. Hiking (går på tur) is our national pasttime.

>it's a slav thing

we do that a lot here, it's like ancient tradition.

Why don't you collect mushrooms? It's nice to take a walk in the forest and you get fresh tasty mushrooms. We have a lot of edible types here. Psylocybe ones for youth as a bonus.

your face when this picture is unironically and without exaggeration within a mile from the center of the 2nd largest city of finland google.fi/maps/@60.1870813,24.667832,3a,75y,28.2h,86.51t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sxaZHCNQ9cyLgfeow9avhEg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

we are a meme country

oh, cool, I wasn't aware
it's probably still rather popular in the countryside here as well
I guess it has do with me thinking of it as a group activity (see your pic). It's not as fun when you can't argue about whether that one's edible or alert others about that big patch you just spotted.
We also have a variety of edible ones but most common are small shitty ones (at least there's the kind you can step on to release an ebin spore cloud :DDD). There are also some that look a lot like edible species, so you do have to know your shit.
>Psylocybe
As good as none here I'm afraid. There's only fly agaric but I haven't seen one the last two years either.

There are apps for smartphone which helps to identify mushrooms XD

oh, that didn't even cross my mind. of course there would be.
okay, I'll go for it next year.

when else would you collect mushrooms?

>throat sings furiously

Why yes of course. Forests covers 30% of Norway.

Galicia is just a big fucking forest, so yeah

Shitloads of taiga, just endless sea of fucking forests, A squad of aliens can settle there and they won't be found for hundreds of years, It's also so easy to be eaten by a bear there.

We have nearly no natural forests, maybe 10% of the forested land area in total. The rest are grid-like plantations where the average tree is 20-30 years old. And regardless of type our 'forests' are small patches scattered between farms and roads. If you want vast unspoiled nature go to Siberia.

what about Lapland?

Where do you think the 10% is located?

Countries with mountains and forests are disgusting.

I love hiking :3

this tbqh. 99% of those 26,3 million hectares of forest is plantations.

>plantations
Used for what? If it's a plantation, then it's not a forest, is it?

Rude.

paper industry and shit like that

Forest covered 66% of Japan's land.

I lived near the sea so forest is quite a distance away.

>plant trees
>looks like a forest except all trees are in straight vertical and horizontal lines
>country looks like giant chess table from space

So Norway has more forests than Finland? What the fuck.

I live near a very large forest and I've been trying to get my friends to go hiking with me but they would rather stay at home and smoke weed

yes

some people, sometimes

no. fucking mosquitoes and hot weather is shit. in winter, why the fuck would I go into a forest? to hunt? I dont hunt. frozen city urban wilderness is the best.

It's most likely because you have oil, so there was never any need to turn to other natural resources. We only have trees, and this is the result.

yeah mine has the most wildlife in europe but its still getting fucked by greedy old men running the country.

someone nuke it desu

> Does your country have forests? (Not so fast Netherlands)
Yes, but my region doesn't have a lot.
> Do people usually spend time in them or not?
yes
> What about you, do you like going into the woods?
yes

We have "forests". Pretty landscape, though
I don't usually spend time in them because I can't be arsed to leave the house in my free time

how spooky is the forest?

in high school me and my friends always got high in the woods, we even built a treehouse n shiet.

No, forests are owned by Satan and only inhabited by his servants, the Finns.

Satans skogsfinne

yes, some do, and i do more than most in my meme of a city

Here in Curitiba most large parks have at least some woods nearby, so plenty people enjoy them.
