This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
I wish there were a more natural way for me to learn Japanese. Grinding anki and grammar books totally kills my interest after a few weeks. I wish I had a cool Japanese friend to talk to daily to pick up on the language over time. It wouldn't be as stressful.
kek, it's a special kind of hell, imagine working double the time for half the pay. Entry level for programmers at rakuten(jap amazon) is $30,000, aka a fucking pittance jej
Stay in the US, weeb.

So going slaving away for 12+ hours daily in japan is your vision of happiness?
Seriously don't waste your time, just go on holiday.
finance/law with a 4.0 GPA plus related extra-curriculars + internships and connections
Stay in the US, bust your ass off for 10-20 years, make partner/M&A and then take yearly vacations to japan and stop being a dumb weeb
The jap economy has been stagnant for a decade now, and salaries are decreasing.
it IS my business, to save stupid weebs from themselves

>Seriously don't waste your time, just go on holiday.
And that's where your lack of research shows.
Japan doesn't offer Holiday Working Visa's to Americans. Maybe now you understand my hell. The only way even work in japan as an american is to fully commit.

>lack of research
oh you poor, poor thing.
btw i'm a brit, I mean a """"""""vacation"""""""""
Basically, let me sum up your logic for you, since you're too dumb to do it yourself
>get degree >go to japan to not only live in worse conditions, but to work double the hours, for half the pay and literally have no future in japan or your home country because japs don't promote foreigners, also doesn't speak japanese thus severely limiting any job he could possibly get considering compsci majors are a dime a dozen thesedays(weebs and compsci are like bread and butter) >you are literally choosing this over staying in america and getting a comfy programming job with good pay, where you can be near your family and friends, and exist in a culture you actually know and fit in to

i'm aware of the risks, you fucking frog. but life is about ignoring the risks and giving it your best shot anyways. if I sit on my butt for the rest of my life thinking about how hard my dream is, nothing will change. Life won't change.
This is about more than money. It's about me, as a person. You chose the wrong person to argue with, friend.
