ITT: Overrated players

I'll start

No one rates him anymore

FRAUDE STONES

...

Literally all people do is shit on him all day you dullard

...

Smalling, Phil Jones, Clyne, Daley Blind,

Kante

Actually, pretty much the entire Lester squad.

There's a reason that so many of them were playing non-league or lower-league football until very recently.

Same goes for Ranieri. The man was considered a mediocre charlatan until about 6 months ago, now he's praised as an eternal footballing genius.

Can't wait to see the PED bust and relegation desu.

Correct post.

>inb4 le chatting shit xD

>one bad season
>overated

For Stones it's been too much too soon. He's got potential, but he's been linked to rich clubs and introduced in the England squad before it materialized.

Wayne Gretzky recently reaffirms him as the greatest player in the game.

>you think you know more than Wayne Gretzky

Literally everybody thought they were going to fuck up until they actually won the league

Maybe it's the other teams and players that were overrated?

Stones was an early bloomer and is literally as good as he's ever going to get.

I mean , I like him...but he's just not that good.

It's both really.

Doesn't change the fact that players like Schmeichel, Morgan, Vardy, Drinkwater, Simpson etc. spent their entire careers rotting in the lower leagues while being rated by exactly no one.
Ranieri was a very mediocre manager at every club that he managed. He had only a 48% win record at Juventus, in the Juvewinslol.

The change in form is so extreme and unprecedented that you'd have to be blind to not call it suspicious. Average players and average clubs have periods of good form. But really shit players don't suddenly become world class.

Either way doping or not doping, they'll regress to the mean next season. Wouldn't be surprised to see them relegated in a couple of years.

Side note btw, I'm a QPR season ticket holder and watched Danny Simpson play for us every week. He was utter shite, a real liability.
The fans hated him because he couldn't defend and kept trying to take the ball up the wing (even though his dribbling was somehow even worse than his marking and intelligence). Selfish, mediocre player on huge wages.
When Leicester wanted to buy him, the overwhelming consensus was "take the money and run, I'll pack his bags for him and drive him up there myself".
Don't believe me? Watch some of the games that he played for us. Utter, utter dross.

Now he's an EPL winner, and the pundits say he's one of the best RBs in the league.

I don't support a Premier League club and I was actually rooting for Leicester to win it.

It has nothing to do with the fact that people who genuinely believe that Vardy, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Huth and Kante are world class players will be sorely disappointed.

Well Simpson was easily the worst player in the starting XI and could have easily been replaced

Mouyes apparently still does

>mfw raschfort means gone quickly in german

hhehe

>moyes

>All this salty ABL ITT

youre exaggerating how highly people rate Lester players

he's the weakest link in the team, it's hard to criticize when they just won the league

Juve were fresh out of Serie B when Ranieri took over retard

>Ranieri was a very mediocre manager at every club that he managed. He had only a 48% win record at Juventus, in the Juvewinslol.
stop talking about shit you know nothing about pls
