There was this PC game I remember from high school, in the mid 90's. You were the pilot of this little ship, which was shrunken down and injected into a body to fight off viruses and stuff. It was really cartoon-y and colorful; I've tried to find the name of it, but I just can't remember, drives me nuts. I asked other people I went to high school with, but it was like fifteen years ago and no one remembers.

Word, you could get lost so easily. I tried playing the game again recently and it was way harder then I remembered as a kid, no idea how the hell I managed so many times!
It doesn't age well as far as story goes. Then again it was going to be something totally different. I only find the characters to be interesting.

i remember that if you went deep down and then jump at full speed and make a really big 360 pushing all the buttons everything became glitchy and then you appear and a higher level.

I had this on a demo disk and played the shit out of it, then ended up buying it. Really cool game, but very repetitive.
It was (at least the first one) one of the hardest game I ever played.
Basically, you had a few side quest with other dolphin to earn a few power (most quests were "go save my sibblings"), but the basic game mecanics was to search for a glyph key to use it to access other part of the map blocked by another glyph.
The basic rules aren't that hard, but you had a lot of jumps that were just insanely hard and some level asked you a lot of reflexes.
Was a good game, but very hard.
Oh and you start with your fellow dolphin only to end in Scifi story with aliens and time travelling shit.

Honnestly, no, it wasn't that "weird".
But if you were up to get in the story, it was (for that time, 1990), really brillant, it was a mix of a lots of Scifi books, mixed with mythology and some kind of psychedelic mood.
The guys wanted to create a crazy story only involving natural things, with no human interactions and I think they're the only one who did this
It's one of those unique game, which looks like nothing else, really underrated.
I remember fucking spending 5 hours figuring out how to open that mother fucking gate and all you had to do was attack the statue to turn it. Fuck this game.............but yah it was hella fun.
