Each team only has one driver.

Reduces costs for teams leading to more constructors and less 'team orders' that kill the sport.

It never was "great".

It is, and has always been, a shitty series due to the fact that the driver is secondary to the car.

Missiles and machine guns. F1 drivers are so quick to liken themselves to fighter pilots, let's put these nancies to the test.

What about good old cannons?

Bring back V8/V10's

The lack of the iconic F1 sound has hurt the sport more than most people think.

>The lack of the iconic F1 sound has hurt the sport more than most people think

No, it hasn't.

Only mouth-breathing retards give two shits about the "sounds" of racing.

The fuck?

maybe if redbull would stop spending money to let some guy jump from the outer edge of the atmosphere onto planet earth and spend it at their cars, they would be able to consistently win races...

the fact that you can't watch it for free hurt the sport

the only way to watch it here is paying for a directv subscription or streaming it

and this is the case in most countries, even the united 'it's our sport' kingdom

Single chassis and body manufacturer.

make it so the aero doesn't make it so hard to follow behind another car. that's it

not here, we even have the F1 channel

Reduce downforce

Or wait for Bernie to die which seems increasingly unlikely by the day

Standardize cars

but that's still a cable channel right?

of course

make it more accessible somehow? sport gets boring when you dont get the best possible participants playing

banana skins and spikes

Don't know about there but back in the early 2000s you could watch f1 on air tv here

Put on bumpers and remove blocking/contact rules.

Are you literally fucking retarded?

no?

Make the races six times as long.

Build a wall.

This

1. Make it less expensive. It has been proven that they can still make fast cars with half the money they use.
2. At the very fucking retarded least, make the cars louder. Open the escape tubes or something.
>this two would make manufacters like BMW, Volkswagen, Aston Martin or Alfa Romeo more attracted because it wouldn't be so expensive and they could still develop their V6 hybrid shit.
3. Get more tyre manufacters in. Competition means they will both make the best tyres they can, or die slowly. Happened between Goodyear-Bridgeston and Bridgestone-Michelin.
4. Let more shit teams in. Look at the grids in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Literally anyone could get into F1 if you had money and a car. Look at the grids in the 80s and early 90s. Tons of shit teams and pay drivers. But some shit teams managed to become at least decent (March, Wolf, Leyton House, Zakspeeed) or even legendary (Williams, Minardi, Arrows...). Also pay drivers can sometimes actually be good (like Lauda).
5. Safety fuck off. You shouldn't be in F1 if you are not willing to tale some risks. If crashes like Villeneuve in Melbourne 2001, Kubica in Montreal 2007 or Alonso in Melbourne 2016 had 0 driver fatalities, it means that F1 is safe enough. You wont die from a Massa Hungary 2009 tier crash, and Bianchi's death was his fault and the retarded Japs fault. The halo is retarded and the aeroscreen just looks weird, and looks are important in F1.
6. Make cars good looking again. Kill those retarded nipple noses and tell halo to fuck off. At least they will male some improvements in 2017 with fat tyres and nicer general car design.
7. Tell Hermann Tilke and FIA to fuck off. Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Shanghai, Bahrain, Sochi and Hockenheim are all shit boring tracks. Make more improvised fast circuits and just adjust them to safety standards.
8. Bring back Tobacco and promote Alcohol sponsorship. They used to give millions of $ to most teams back in the day. Also, the liveries were top tier and iconic.

multiball

All of this.

This. I don't give a shit about racing in that if one style goes I will adopt another.
>F1 goes subscription
>Start following WTCC
>WTCC goes
>start following MotoGP
>MotoGP goes
>start following Superbikes
So on, so forth. IMO it was never popular enough in and of itself to attract subscribers and survive as an "event" type shit without the free channel pub. You'd see F1 sports newspaper headlines during the summer, now it's half a page in the back.

Also, do away with half the rulebook and introduce spending caps. This would level the playing field and put success in the hands of the engineers and their ability to come up with wacky new shit instead of it being a case of whoever has the most money can win by having the most people finding out how they can circumvent existing rules.

>do away with half the rulebook and introduce spending caps.
>Make it less expensive. It has been proven that they can still make fast cars with half the money they use.

There's a lot of F1 "fans" that think the sport should be about who can spend the most to get the biggest tech advantage over their competitors, and fuck everybody else.

Drivers are secondary, as is actual good racing.

remove mercedes

Bring back Schumacher and Senna.

keep haryanto

why does this remind me of Lyger 0 battles

To me F1 is more interesting right now than ever before. Sure MWL sucks, but the complex rules and the tyre degradation are far better than what F1 used to be in the early 2000s.

The only thing I'm really missing are the massive engine failures back then. They used to be an interesting, unpredictable factor. Also, qualifying was better back then, due to refuelling.

>It never was "great".
This.

Formula 1 has only ever been "great" in the sense that the Emperor's New Clothes are "great."

The Emperor, however - that is, Formula 1 itself - truly believes it is clothed in the pinnacle of sartorial splendor.

make it more like motogp:

get rid of all the aero bullshit that prevents them from following the guy in front , give them hard tyres that last a whole race and even do away with fuckin pitstops and retard drs.

reduce the number of laps. a motogp race lasts 40 mins and most of them are very spectacular cause theres actual racing.

fuckin f1 fanboys want to convince me that sitting down with pen and paper and trying to figure out tyre strategies is exciting. FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

>sitting down with pen and paper and trying to figure out tyre strategies

dumb cunt

Stop meme drivers like Vetlel and Hamilshit from crusing their way to multiple titles when the best drivers are stuck in teams forbidden by the silly rules to catch-up

autist fag

you have no idea what the fuck your talking about.

go back to the 70's 80's and even the early 90's.. F1 was GOAT.

800 and 1000HP engines mounted on cars as light as they were made of paper, barely any electronics (if any, in the older days), no automatic transmission, no traction control, no ABS.

See how some drivers drove those rockets. It was just absolutely mad.

See how Ayrton Sena used to drive those beasts in the rain and tell me F1 was "never good".

Fix the tyre situation, driving 3/4 of a race on the softest of the tyres should not be a realistic possibility.

Fix the aero, makes overtaking bloody difficult for everyone. Wheel-to-wheel racing is what every single person wants to see, not VET quickly closing a gap to HAM and then spending the remainder of the race stuck in his mirrors.

Allow all teams to develop their cars throughout the season. Having an iconic racing team like McLaren struggling because they can't upgrade their engine, forcing top-tier drivers like Alonso and Button to barely fight for points each race is fucking tragic.
Stop going to shit tracks because they offer money. To think we didn't have a German GP last year with their iconic tracks, but raced at the piece of shit track in Sochi, etc is boring as fuck and turns people away.

Allow drivers to show more personality (this is probably across sport in general). This PC crap is boring as fuck, let drivers share their opinions and ideas, not be robots who do what all these PC hotshots tell them to.

Fix the noise, although only F1 fans car about this. The 'general public' really doesn't give a fuck, and fixing the noise won't drag in new viewers, it will only keep the long time watchers around.

But I thoufht Fernando was faster than you

Every car has a 1% chance of spontaneously exploding at any time

So every car would be powered by Hondaâ„¢

Where in the world is Baku?

>it's another episode of how do we make f1 great again.
But anyway, it would be nice to see a system similar to the 2017 lmp2 regs. Where it has a set set of chassis manufactors, perhaps teams could build there own engines. Keep the manufactor involved, while also keeping the racing closer and increasing the grid.

Europe

build wall on track

play it on grass and have nothing happen for 90 minutes

make esteban pay for it

...

Randomize the driver and car every race.

That *Senna* (or Mansell or Piquet or Prost) was great doesn't mean that *F1* was great. (The distinction between the quality of a star driver and the quality of the series is one F1 has always liked to blur.)

I do agree that F1 now is even less good than it was back then.

But each person has the right to decide for themselves what constitutes "great," so if you're entertained by past F1, good for you.

lol

well played, cane toad bro

silly v12 engines

the media here are fucking cumming over max verstappen
is he really good or just a meme?

let tobacco companies sponsor again

For an 18 year old it's pretty amazing that he can even compete in F1, let alone win

Step 1:
Improve the crashtests and crash simulations.

Step 2:
Hold as only regulation rule that cars must pass all safety tests

Constructors would be entirely free to do anything they want with their car and be safe. As such we could have wildly different designs, engines and chassis on the grid.

The whole series has become too memey. The old V10s were miles better than this new crap. Then there was KERS and DRS and an abundance of 1-stop races. I miss refueling, it made for much better strategy. I hate seeing drivers change to a different compound and suddently they're 2 seconds faster per lap as if it were a mario cart or some shit. They rely too heavily on mechanical grid rather than aero. And the cars look like shit. Luckily they'll look much more like actual racing cars next year.

Pay-TV is also ruining the sport and will eventually become the series' downfall. They keep jacking up the prices at each negotiation and the providers keep charging more every year due to this. Meanwhile, the racing is becoming so unbearable that it's not even worth paying 1/4 of the price for a subscription. They also have no intention of making an online service, because they want to squeeze every dime out of the providers, but that just means that people will start using live-streaming instead.

each year have a 'stock' regular car for each team and leave the mechanics make adjustments just before and throughout the season, make the drivers earn wins through actually driving well, not letting the cars being 90% of the reason why some drivers are better than others. Make it really raw racing, not this shit where the team with the most money to invest/least restrictions can win with any fucking driver because they have a superior car.

Here the national televisoon broadcasts it, which is free for everyone

We kill the Bernie

no mate it's the opposite
Bernie is fucking based
>brinbing his way out of bribing acusations
>constantly attacking idiots and SWJs

The Only problem is that he is cucked by FIA.
We must give him more Power

>the state of anime

Elect Donald Trump to run it?

>1 shit race out of like 16. Removed a year later.
>8 shit races a year, replacing good tracks and getting theire contracts renovated for 6 more years.

>There's a lot of F1 "fans" that think the sport should be about who can spend the most to get the biggest tech advantage over their competitors, and fuck everybody else.
I dont think thats bad, desu. I agree with each team spending as much as they can. But F1 is just too expensive. Making each car costs like 4 million... compared to Indycar, in which every car costs like 1/8 of that and are pretty similar in terms of speed and power.

>There's a lot of F1 "fans" that think the sport should be about who can spend the most
That's absolutely what the pointy end of the grid thinks.

Formula 1, like the horse racing it replaced, has always been just another surrogate for wallet-measuring.
