bump, i need a good horror movie to watch

The wizard of Troy Ounce Gold

...

was kinda hammy, but had an interesting premise

i liked it

Cabin in the Woods, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.

>Darth maul is scary

Sauce

>God-tier
>horror
Well if we're going to pick the best diarrhea, might as well be Salo

there's only one God-tier horror movie

horror movies never deliver. get a grip you underaged pussy.

well... Alien is actually sci-fi/horror. that is a scary movie.

is that when she saw woody allen fucking her kids?

If Incidious is a good horror movie then you must love The Strangers

OP the sooner you realize that true horror is not something that can be described or present on screen, the better.

...

Fuck niggers

Lake mungo
Blair witch project
The ring

Banshee Chapter or The Pact werent half bad.

Is there a horror movie without lazy jumpscares, just with intense atmosphere you can recommend?

CREEPSHOW old but gold, one of the few movies i continue to enjoy watching on occasion. The ring, shutter, and any other horror film originating from japan is usually fucking great, but really? Insidious is shit

Wreck it Ralph

faggot detected

one of my personally favorites is the thing.
scared the shit out of me when I was a kid

Underrated post and full house.

All the new horror movies fucking suck potato cock need one that will give me nightmares and sleepless nights

try Begotten

If you can see it and name it, it's not truly horrifying now is it?

[REC]

more recently I really liked It Follows

Boring as fuck, people only know it for that one stupid fucking picture that is captured from it.

That's shit man.

Favorite movie of all time rh

eraserhead

>dubs-trips
checked

This one was the first horror movie in a long time to legitimately give me both the heebies and jeebies at the same time.

Excellent choice, but the faggots in this thread probably wouldn't call it horror

It Follows
May
Absentia
Cheap Thrills
The Decent
High Tension

You have low standards.

Darth maul?

>How can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?

gtfo with your pseudo-philosophical ass.

i bet you're a blast at parties.

>Alien is actually sci-fi/horror. that is a scary movie.

Alien was basically a haunted house movie set in space.
Also:
Alien- Heaven
Aliens- Earth
Alien3- Hell

...

tu madre

los movieos del espanol son las greatest-o

this

>Those giant injuns
>The giant foot steps they made
>That primal fear

This.

...

Not really scary, but great horror movie.

In no particular order:

Grave Encounters
V/H/S/
ABCs of Death, 1 and 2
Premonition
The Exorcist
28 Days Later
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Event Horizon
Hellraiser, 1 and 2
Cube
Dyatlov Pass

Could we call The Machinest horror?

original exorcist

Apollo 13
Mr Jones

rec is actual god tier

Algunas, pero esa es una mierda de película.

It's top ten for me, and only one of two horror films I've given a 10/10 to. The other is picture related.

if you like the "jump scare" horror style, then the grudge is good.

This is one of the few horror movies that really freaks me out.

i guess. if you like corny shit i mean.

The original one or the remake?

Ok, fine: tl;dr you have shit taste and think jumpscares are toospooky4me, faggot.

already seen, but good choice

Bro. Grave Encounters - outside of the last 20 minutes - best horror ever. I've never had a horror just fill me with such dred and anxiety.

I just watched it the other night at a party (People were baked and wanted to get freaked out). Still as good as I remember.

I miss the creativity of classic horror. I realize that the Thing wasn't entirely original (Based off a book) but in the process of creating the movie it was loaded with creativity. Most modern horror movies are just jumpscare fests filled with either ghosts or just killers. Really bland imo.

Evil dead remake
The conjuring
Cabin in the woods
The boy
The witch... the ass you get to see in this one. My God.

the american versión was crap

That movie actually terrified me for a bit I enjoyed the atmosphere to it

...

Sooo artsy. Go fuck yourself you pretentious faggot

Was never released, but highly reccomended if you can find it online.

ITT: okay-tier horror movies

1982 version.

1950's version (The Thing from another world) is alright; although it barely resembles the source novel.

2011 prequel isn't horrible; but it's basically just another Thing movie with a weaker main character and less memorable moments.

Salo is just a boring try hard shitty movie - no pun intended.

Not that hard to find.

Dude, this had me actually looking at my kitchen door and thinking
>what if a dead-eyed dripping wet naked woman shuffled out of there right now?
and I was NOT erect. Pee pee was shriveled up from fear. Best horror film of recent years IMO.

Another favorite. Way ahead of its time.

>tension build-up, atmosphere, and general story can't be creepy

alright buddy. have fun being scared of nothing ever.

except shit you can't see of course. be scared of nothing. much better.

The Bay. It's the best found footage one out there. In fact, watch it right now putlocker.is/watch-the-bay-online-free-putlocker.html

Man, I'd bang the tia esa and the little girl, but the history was shit, just my opinion.

what are you getting at by ascribing heaven earth and hell to the three alien movies?

is there a conspiracy thing you want to elaborate on?

Is that what Darth Maul is up to these days?

One of my favourite movies of all time.

I never found the movie to be "scary" in the sense, but it is fucking fantastic. I've seen it several times including once with the full directors commentary.

The special effects were out of this world and are still incredible. All the reboots or remakes just looked like shit cgi compared to the ingenuity they used to get the puppets to work in this film.

On the off chance that you're not trolling, maybe you'd like to suggest something?

Show us unwashed savages how to get our spoop on.

That was actually pretty decent. Very creepy.

My post will always be: Session 9.

That's some really good taste you got there

Is there really any contest? Like seriously.

/thread

mah nigga

Amazing writing and performances too. Richard Jenkins was incredible. Favorite line:

SPOILERS DUH

>Tall Trees: They don't eat Negroes.
>Chicory: Do they think they're poisonous?

I also surprisingly loved this remake. Like a lot.

If you want to be disturbed i would recommend,
Martyrs
Cannibal holocaust.
Sinister is ok, but i hated the end and the bagul looks kind of like an angsty teenager in Halloween suit

how many dix you sucked today
the shining and the exorcist says helllo

The Blair Witch Project
Cabin in the Woods
The Poughkeepsie Tapes

What movie?

this man gets it

you're not impressing anyone with your bull shit

That shit looks so fake it's more laughable than scary by now.

Didn't know the 2011 movie was a prequel, thanks.

"pseudo-philosophical" is just an exuse you put to yourself to invalidate his argument without any points.

One way to think of the settings of the films.

I agree it definitely isn't scary in the sense that I'm afraid to watch it; I would call it "freaky" at best.

However the really freaky part is that the human's create most of their own conflict. So many of the character's actions are believable and that's why it's such a good movie. The humans paranoia and distrust of one another leads to their ultimate downfall. It's a definite "what would I do if I was there" sorta movie.

On netflix right now?
Hush. It's pretty good, all told.

Actual God Tier genre picture?
Bride of Frankenstein.
Not scary, but check yourself, son. It's God tier.

Couldn't agree with you more. Very original and it has an awesome sound track thats icing on the cake. Disaster Piece has some really chilling music that's also somehow relaxing in a weird way.

Horror is a very subjective genre, but I find that movie boring and not scary. I wasn't raised in a religious household though.

I was also a pretty big fan of The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Some legit spooky shit. Poughkeepsie Tapes were pretty shit. Psycho murder porn mockumentary level shit.

The thrills didn't make me jump or anything. But that movie hit some weird nerve, man.

Tossed and turned a bit that night, lol

You can follow the links and see the poster of the version I was referring to.

Are you me? These are my thoughts exactly. People calling Carpenter's version a "remake" rustle my jimmies. His adaptation was much more faithful to the source novella. Howard Hawks' version took many, many liberties with the plot and characters. Even inserted a love story...

The Children (2008) is another relatively recent favorite. It's really hard to make children actually scary, and this film delivers.
