Lifting also burns fat but much, much slower than cardio, when I 5k run, it takes around 700-800kJ but on chest/shoulders my whole routine took 300kJ. So I guess lifting is good.

Cardio burns more calories than weight lifting? No it doesn't.

There was a study done where people did clean and jerks, deadlifts and power cleans. They went balls to walls for 30 minutes and burned 700 calories (which is substantially shorter than what that would take through cardio) and had an EPOC (post exercise oxygen consumption) of 1200 calories. That's a total of 1900 calories burned over the course of a day from one 30 minute workout and then you have to factor in all the other exercise throughout the day.

As a bodybuilder, I can tell you it is possible to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. In fact, increased muscle mass increases your metabolism because your body has more muscle it has to provide energy to.

This doesn't mean you WILL put on muscle while losing fat, it just means it's possible and it varies with different training modules, of course.

Find the type of exercise you enjoy and stick with that.

Seriously, sign up with a PT who focusses on nutrition and diet plans. Youll be eating a lot more throughout the day, but it will be the right kind of food, then They will absolutely pound you into the ground during a session and you'll see results quicker and surprise yourself at how far your body can push. if you go at it alone like I did ( a few times actually ) you'll likely go hard for two weeks, get no results then quit because of an injury. Not the case for everyone but I hear it a lot.

You'll likely be put on a low carb, low fat, High protein diet at first which you need to follow religiously. It sucks for the first week, but you'd be surprised at how well you adjust to not wanting to eat shitty foods.

OFC high intensity circuit training will burn more than cardio but fatfag here is fat, ergo cannot do such intense training.

I'm a lardass with asthma. I jog for a good three hours every morning taking a puff (those inhaler things) break every hour. And half an hour every night. Situps every afternoon. I don't go to the gym because of gymrats always shoving me around. I always end up fighting with them and always get ganged up.

Not really familiar with what diet I should eat but I always have one viand and a cup of rice. If I wanted snacks, its either bananas or apples.

Have been doing this for a month now.

I don't get it. Why are people twice as resentful towards fat people who are actually trying to get back into shape. I fucking hate my body and this fat is worsening my asthma.

But I think the calories/protein is best with eggs/milk/chicken. Eating this will fill you up but doesn't provide much calorie intake.

Whey protein is a supplement for gaining muscle. I wouldn't consume more than my activity would make useful because it can give you WICKED gas, like deathcamp shit, and makes your shit really smelly if you take too much.

Generally, a diet high in lean, high protein foods like chicken will help to fill you up with satiating food that keeps you feeling fuller, longer.

Basically, you COULD survive on a diet of twinkies for a while, but you would always be hungry and wanting to eat more. So in the sense that fewer calories of veggies or lean protein makes you feel more full it can help you lose weight.

So, if you use the basic arguement of 1500cal sugar VS 1500 cal protein But burn 2000 a day. Nutrition still determines weight loss. If I eat like garbage, my body wont lose the weight. Not to mention other major health dangers of that method. If someone eats a balanced diet, cuts out shit like sweets/Soda/Alcohol (A Major one not alot of people think about)/and tobacco (My major addiction) they will start to lose weight. Along with exercise of course.

If you go low carb, which is the usual diet. Your body now lacks the important nutriets for rebuilding. For Example, I needed to lose a lot of weight a few years ago. (Around 100lbs) I fucking staved myself, ate no carbs, the usual diet BS. I never lost weight, fuck in fact I GAINED weight. I eventually went a saw a nutritionist. (College degree in it. Bachelor level or higher.) Turns out I had no idea how to diet. She gave me a strict meal plan, and work out regime. Turns out I lost the weight. I still ahve about 5-10lbs to get to my goal but I did it.

But that's actually shit advice.
