When did internet start to spread in your country and people started to have internet connections other than modem(56kbps) ones?

I had my first non-modem connection in like 1999 it was like 128kbps and costed like 35 euro per month.

I got my first PC in 1996. My first PC game was Primal Rage or Shadowcaster(can't remember).

I played CS in highscool every fucking day.

Idd, the communities were smaller but more active and more fun.

It's a shame social media, Reddit, and even Sup Forums I guess, have swallowed up the market for small forums

mid nineties most everyone i knew already had a 33.6kbps modem connection up and running. it was an exciting time when the 56kbps modem came out.
