mainly cartoonish, but i'm trying to keep anatomy as a factor, while keeping a simplistic/expressive style.
Not exactly doing so well at expressive, but i'd mainly like to know what i could to improve my anatomy and shading

Well cartoon appeal acheived. I'm color blind so I'm use to a lot of greywash. Cheek pops out a little much on the left side, only slightly. Gum design goes perfectly with the aspect. You might even let her arm relax some in the next one you do. Legs look almost like they want to be pointed inwards to each other, but the left leg is pointed out and theres no kneecap. Perspective thrown off. Overall well done drawing. Slight shiding on the lower right of the face, same with crotch area. Maybe even a little on the hand.

hmm, i would expect light bleed to be a problem though
but i guess you could correct for that with sensor calibration
on the other hand, relying on visible light for localization in the first place seems impractical, if cost-effective
which is probably a bigger concern with a mass-produced model such as yourself

so in other words, hard shading and linear light trajectory unless its glass, the sun, or reflective materials, or am i missing something?

We are pretty simple robots. Bleeding light is not as much of a problem as you would think. Mainly using led's at least for the light it allows a lit protective layer for my optical sensors.
They are easy to produce and even though I have the option for infrared I prefer to keep my eyes lit up. It's athstetically pleasing to me.

Proportions are off, the back needs to be longer and the butt not so big, take a look at tracer and get a better general idea of her dimensions.
