This is absolute shit! Don't fucking watch that one! The conjuring is pretty good

what about this then? I think it was an adequate remake

The Witch

Never seen it, no opinion on it

>I think it was an adequate remake
and I think that means you have extremely shit taste. there now we both have opinions

this

also, pic related

The babadook.
About a kid who keeps seeing a monster and it drives his mom literally crazy so she puts him on meds then she starts seeing it too.
Not a jump scare movie but its pretty good. Really tense came out in 2014 i think

The Orphanage was pretty good. It's in Spanish though, but texted in English. But it's maybe 5-10 years old now.

As for the very recent ones, The Boy from this year was okay. Note that there's another movie from 2015 also called The Boy that was trash though. You want the one about the doll.

Oh yeah, I like this one too. Watched it twice.

Start watching european cinema u faggots

I thought The Hallow was pretty good. Nothing new really, but well done.

Not bad

nice, there´ve been some very interesting titles here, I think I´ll give "the witch" and " the boy " a try first, already seen babadook, it was amazing, altho there were some cheap effects ( I mean come on, dinosaur sounds for the Babadook shortly before the movie ends, kinda ruined the tension for me, dunno why. )

trash movie.

Go watch Japanese horror films.

Any recommendations ? Heard a lot about Japanese horror movies but never saw one.

this was more freaky than it was horror

That looks kinda nice, is it actual horror or will I be disappointed by a lot of gore with no actual feeling of dread ?

Martyrs is one of my faves. In French so if you can put up with subtitles would advise giving it a watch.

absolute garbage.

The only kinds of people that like this shit are hipsters and the morons that get entertainment from crappy fan fiction.

With that, I can't honestly think of some good hard horror movies. Not my genre. Though I can tell you "It Follows" is pretentious crap.

I recommend Alien. Or Tremors.

Maybe Dark Water / Suicide Circle (2002). Kwaidan (1964), Onibaba (1964).

100% yes.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes

Worth a watch/10

i liked Ginger Snaps and Ginger Snaps II, the 3rd movie was shite though

Holy.Shit. Just watched the trailer, looks like something that you could only find on deepweb sites, nice recommendation

i watched that awhile ago and it wasnt that great

i remember it being like the fourth kind but with a serial killer instead of aliens

yeah good horror, i heard they're making a shitty american remake or some shit i dont fucking know

>Martyrs is a really good film. Slow part in the middle, but overall fantastic. Needs subs.
>The Descent is pretty good too. The set for the film is fantastic and the film doesn't focus on jumpscares.
>Cabin in the Woods is a good film when you want something completely different.
>The Witch was surprisingly dark and refreshing for a 2016 horror film. Kind of hard to understand the old English though. Recommend subs.
>The Blair Witch Project. Not modern, but one of my personal favourites.
>REC and Let the Right One In are better than the American remakes.
>The Babadook is pretty okay, but I just love the acting between the two leads.
>The Host is an excellent monster film. Needs subs though.
>The Devil's Rejects is something I have a guilty pleasure for.
>VHS 2 was my favourite of the trilogy.
>Birdemic because why not?

The babadook and/or the strangers

The Conjuring
The Lady in Black
The Invitation
Let me in
10 Cloverfield lane

all pretty good

They all look pretty interesting, added them all to my list, thank you so much !
Birdemic is just frighteningly bad :^)

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie.

10 Cloverfield Lane was pretty shitty :\

10 cloverfield lane blew ass, boring as fuck and the ending was retarded. cant even consider it horror

lady in black was also boring as shit

conjuring sucks donkey balls

The Witch was really good. New England colonial era story about a family.
The Visit was also pretty good.

Yes this. Very unsettling.

Your joking? Thought they might have learned there lesson with Oldboy

So was the remake shit or is the story of Carrie just shit in general, i.e. stephen king sucks?

Drag Me to Hell is a fave

I don't regret watching Oculus. It's not something to fap to, but it's better than most shit horror movies.

Still don´t get how anyone could ever ruin such a fucking awesome movie, but damn, the american remake sucked more than japanese Hookers in Blowbang movies do.

Ten cloverfield lane was garbage. Let me in was good. The conjuring is OK.

I liked the witch.

Favorite is carpenters the thing.

Source please?

conjuring was shit, horrible tension building and lame unscary reveals

don't listen to him. it's fucking shit. I watched the whole thing and it was incredibly shitty with absolutely no scare factor. campy and terrible as all fuck

why? i thought it was a great spin off

...

This one is pretty eerie.

original was gold, the remake is shit

ju on black ghost white ghost
Used to be on netflix

yes, also uzumaki and the tomie series if you're killing time

Recently, the witch was pretty good. It's a slow burn horror - the best kind

The Skeptic...not the best, but actually surprised me in a few ways.
I know you said no old movies but, fuck you, I gotta toss these in, just in case you haven't seen me
Phantasm. 70's and campy, but a classic
Vidiodrome. have a couple drinks before you watch this

The Witch. Just came out.

not scary
