Questions regarding Russia

Was going to ask Sup Forums but fuck that place.

1. Is Russia as corrupt as they say it is here in the west?
2. Is half of Russia's economy really dependent on organized crime? Is Russia really a Mafia state?
3. A much nicer question, what's is like right now to be a 22 year old in Moscow? What are the clubs and night life like? What music is popular at the moment?
4. Is Russia safe for a Latino American tourist? The country and its people, history and culture fascinate me.

1.maybe 33% truth
2.no but mafia now called police
3.hard, alot of clubs, usual music
4.no. Good for you

usual music i mean some newish shit like "i'm blue da budi dabudai" or "now you're gone"

moon man moon man can't you see
krauts and russians need to hang from tree

1. I don't know how corrupt you think we are.
2. Not since the 1990s, but the state groups act like mafias anyway.
3. Crippling poverty, shit and shit music.
4. No, you would be mistaken for a churka or arab or something.

4. racism is so widespread that you're the weird one if you are ok with people with darker skin, especially ones not speaking Russian. If you don't look like a Spaniard/Italian, get ready to be mistaken for a Central Asian a lot.
As a tourist, I guess it's safe and easy to go with an organized group or something, but that's for old people. I can only see it being fun if you get yourself an English-Speaking friend because level of English is abysmal among general population.

stay away from my country Pedro Gomez

>i'm blue

it's from the 90s

shut up we just got it here as well as modem internet

lmao our internet is faster and cheaper than european, let alone murican

Yeah, sorry about that.
I think it's not only because of poor school education but because runet is so well-developed.
Russians are isolated from Fagbook by the superior VK, have their own Sup Forums and reddit knockoffs, pirate servers for MMOs.

what is the russian Sup Forums?

Dvach

Yes, it's bad manners but poles writes in polish to each other. The thing that triggers me in russian players is that they're trying to speak to you knowing well that you have no clue what they're trying to tell you.
That might be the case. I have to watch new movies, play games or read tutorials in english, while Russians are getting fan made dubbings in days since release.

i hate this fucking flag

1.yes Russias corrupt but no not as bad as they say in the West
2.no but it used to be in the 90es, that's what oligarchy is, essentially. Say Ukraine is this way now, but in Russia they're retired former gangsters that established Ross and legalized, mostly
3.generic . Some popular Russian songs but usually more than half is American up to date club shit
4.yes, its safer than many American cities, few big Russian cities have something as dangerous as say ghettos

This is a colonel of russian police. These bags with cash on the floor of the court were found in his apartment.

yeah I was just kidding

the tears of plebs when I spoil some shit from tv because i watched a stream and they're waiting for a shitty dub with ads for an internet casino narrated over intense silent scenes

Kek, I've got Belarussian friend who speaks fluently polish for some reason, but can't speak in english. He said he is not going to england and he got everything he wants translated to russian in hours.

It's corrupt. Corruption is usually at a higher level, so if you're getting fucked with, everyone is. Occasionally you can bribe certain officials.

organized crime. again it's so high up you'll probably not even notice it. you're not going to get killed on the street for your organs

22 is great in moscow. There's shitty trashy clubs for rich people and party people, but also cool one's as well. Youth scene very good in moscow

Yes russia is safe for you. Saint petersburg best place for foreigners though

>1. Is Russia as corrupt as they say it is here in the west?
Yes. Get on good terms with someone and don't attract attention and you should be fine though, as long as you remember who's in charge.
>2. Is half of Russia's economy really dependent on organized crime? Is Russia really a Mafia state?
I wouldn't say dependent. I'd say that Russia is mafia man's wet dream because the government actually IS mafia.

Stay the fuck away from our country, Jose.

This is how Russia isn't, basically this might have been written by CNN Czech office intern

I speak fluent English and shit Spanish. But I do get mistaken for a light skinned black dude all the time, usually by other blacks down here.

Popular music?
youtube.com/watch?v=A1Qb4zfurA8
youtube.com/watch?v=ivB-uGCnqOc

in Russia? I have a friend who is really hairy and it's dark, in America people constantly tried to speak Spanish to him despite his giant blue eyes

No in Miami. Sorry I'm the OP. I've never been to Europe or Russia.

>CNN
So truthfully and according to the facts?

>I've never been to Russia
Good, let's keep it this way

stay out of us you club scum
would kill any of you irl

nah it'll be shit OP. blacks are less rare in Moscow now but still people won't be eager to help you and girls'll ignore you.

>1. Is Russia as corrupt as they say it is here in the west?
yes
>2. Is half of Russia's economy really dependent on organized crime? Is Russia really a Mafia state?
Not really. It is dependent on the Putin's clique which controls all the most profitable and important sectors of Russian economy.
>4. Is Russia safe for a Latino American tourist? The country and its people, history and culture fascinate me.
Yes.

im from cyprus and might as well be arap but I get along fine my guy. But it helps that I'm handsome

1. Is Russia as corrupt as they say it is here in the west?

Yes and no. The corruption was immensely worse 10-15 years ago when there were literally a lot of business sectors where you couldn't compete at all without having the right connections. Nowadays most industries aren't like that. Then again, if you want to smoke in a smokeless train you can pay the conductor like 100-500 rubles to alleviate the problem. Shit like that is quite common. But as the general perception in the west is that in Russia you can do anything you want with 500 dollars then that really isn't the case anymore.

2. Is half of Russia's economy really dependent on organized crime? Is Russia really a Mafia state?

Dunno

3. A much nicer question, what's is like right now to be a 22 year old in Moscow? What are the clubs and night life like? What music is popular at the moment?

Russian big cities run 24/7 unlike many cities in Europe. Moscow is the biggest city by far in Russia and in Europe so it's also the most vibrant/one of the most vibrant ones. There are all kinds of nightclubs, cheap vodka, vodka that'll make you blind, vodka that will make you cry, etc... It's nice. I don't know about Moscow's favorite Russian band, in many clubs they play a lot of western hits and Russian dance music that sounds exactly like western music but with Russian lyrics. In SPB Leningrad is a very well liked band for obvious reasons, youtube.com/user/shnur0k/

4. Is Russia safe for a Latino American tourist? The country and its people, history and culture fascinate me.

I know Colombians, Venezuelans, Chileans and other South-Americans who have spent months in Russia or are spending immense amounts of time at the moment and I haven't heard that it would be bad for them. If you don't look like a regular Russian/Finn/Swede/Norwegian/German or other northern white person, then yes, you might very well be stopped from time to time by security/police, especially at train and metro stations.

It is from big city. There many muslims in Russia.

Here is more of russian muslims.

Do you travel a lot?

Here is muslims from cultural capital of Russia St. Petersburg.

>a voice from kolhoz

i can smell potato here

I have spent a couple of months in Russia.

and
how is it?

Obvious never bummed for money/food/cigarets/vodka/anything in Питep. Belarussians on the other hand represented half of the bums, the other half being Gypsies/Russian drunkards.

Well, I liked being in Russia and I'll try and get to MIRBIS/CПбГУ. It was quite different than any EU country I've been to though. You got to be a bit more specific about what kind of things you want to hear about your country, or my take on them.

Obvious Muslims I mean.

Have you meet crazy russians? Any stupid or amazing things that you seen?

Belorussians like to go shopping in Poland.

Looks like you are shamed for this photoes.
You are a white russian and you don't like muslims in your country. They are workers mostly, work for 350$ a month, repair your busted roads, clean your streets from garbage. You don't like to see this poor people in your cities. But they will be live in Russia, they are legal mostly in your corrupted country.

>Have you meet crazy russians?

Well, a couple of times I talked very casually with some Russians in clubs/bars etc... and after like 20 minutes they make comments like "do you like Hitler" "if Finland attacks Russia we fucking destroy you" or something like that :D. Those were pretty "wut the fug?"-moments as the discussion really wasn't political in any sense and then that sentiment usually died in like a minute or two and then we drank vodka again. Other weird thing was once in Дикcиe I was looking for coffee and two churkas came next to me to look for the tees. I looked a moment and when I turned to the churkas in order to go further into the shop I saw the that the other one of them had a knife in his had which he was using to point stab the tee-packages. That was other very "wut the fug" moment. They looked very гoпник.

The traffic was quite chaotic and it was hard for me to understand some of the decisions the maintenance people make about renewing asphalt. For instance in SPB there was one 4 lane street of which half was closed for asphalt renewal and that caused insane traffic jams which Russian drivers dealt the way they seemed to deal with all traffic problems: by breaking all the possible laws, driving on the side of the road/on the incoming lane and just crushing into the crossroad and using the magnificent power of "I have bigger car than you so fuck you" to get through.

I also saw a police car that was being charged by another police car on the middle of the Nevsky Prospekt and the four police officers were just smoking cigarets there and not giving a single fuck.

Once a metroticket machine stopped working when I was trying to charge money on my card, one of those station ladies came there and tried to make it work for like 15 mins and after that she told me to follow her so she will give me back the money I lost. I followed her and waited like 5 more mins and she came back with a blanket that was like 3-4 pages long

and only in Russian. At that point I told her that I don't speak Russian and I'm from Finland and then she was a bit baffled and just wanted to just see my passport instead of filling that bloody document and after seeing it she gave me the like 250 rubles the machine took.

In Moscow I was a couple of days at a pioneer camp for a conference thingy. The place was quite interesting as the manager of that pioneer camp was some 50-year-old guy who was constantly wearing full-on camouflage uniform and tried to act like a military guy even though he was pretty fat. Also every morning there was some Russian radio stuff that started playing at like 7 am from loudspeakers all around the camp. The main hall of the camp still had retained a huge red star and in front of it there was an old Soviet jet-fighter with red stars as well. I haven't been in the Soviet Union but there I could feel it very well. I don't think the place has changed at all since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Those were the things from the top of my head, there were quite a lot of interesting things that happened in Russia and Russia is very very very different than for example Germoney.

haha that's dumb shit

yes Russia is very very interesting place trust me I live here whole life

nice, i want to there now

*go

kebabs are not welcome

>going to Russia as a brown person with no connections to Europe

Why

why not?

Where do you live and have you been abroad?

...

CHI

Siberia
no I have never been abroad

irl people are less racist than on the internet, if you are nice ans sociable you will have no problem. Or you can end in liveleak video

Just seems a little odd to me for some reason. I wouldn't visit a country where I can't identify with the people, like Asia or Africa or South America.

In which city in Siberia and is it worth visiting?

Part of the reason behind travelling is seeing different shit and learning a bit about that place. What's the point if it's exactly like home?

Europe and Russia are very far from being exactly like home here in America, yet they are full of people who at the very least look like me, and there is some shared history. I'm just saying the inverse of what OP is saying, I just have no desire to visit brown and asian countries. I just found it odd that a South American would be enamored with Russia of all places.

dunno may be yes

Looks comfy, reminds me just a teeny bit of Boston.

Russia is my favorite country outside the US. This song is pretty popular right now apparently.

youtube.com/watch?v=lwUQlkAUQDI

>yet they are full of people who at the very least look like me
Why is that so important though? Regarding the question about south Americans, some like it because they are gommies, some do it because they like Russian culture and history, it is definitely an interesting that's influential in different regards

tema.ru/travel/mumusique-comeback-1/
tema.ru/travel/ee-13/

It seems nice

>Russia is not safe for latino tourists
I never knew this, does this apply to all tourists or just non-white ones?
Me walking around with blonde hair blue eyes wouldn't be harassed?

only non-whites as far as i know. Russian women love american guys, idk about aussies tho

I feel a lot more comfortable being among other white people than I would in countries like yours, or countries like Mexico, India, Japan, China, or the Philippines that people visit. There is also nothing of relevant substance and culture in the aforementioned countries, at least not to me. That's all I'm saying.

I'm not sure you are the one who should be doing the talking Poland

Unless you're traveling to some godforsaken shithole, nobody's going to mind your skin colour. You might end up being verbally harassed if you go out for a drink somewhere, but you probably won't get beaten up.

It not that it is not safe there. If you happened to be at margins of our country you would be glared at as if you are black at kkk meeting. But in popular tourist cities no, chances are low.

>newish shit like "i'm blue da budi dabudai"

LOL

>im from cyprus
How did you end up in Russia?

1. Even more
2. Yes
3. I've turned 23 recently, 22 was meh.
4. Probably yes. But it's better not to go outside of Moscow.

youtube.com/watch?v=oZNECDqGv_I

Can someone tell me what the guy is saying at the beginning?

Way is ended, human. Come to me.

>Is Russia as corrupt as they say it is here in the west?

I have no idea what do they say about us there in the West.

>Is half of Russia's economy really dependent on organized crime? Is Russia really a Mafia state?

More likely 100%, Russia is rather a criminal organization than an actual state.

>A much nicer question, what's is like right now to be a 22 year old in Moscow? What are the clubs and night life like? What music is popular at the moment?

I don't know, I've never lived in Moscow.

>Is Russia safe for a Latino American tourist? The country and its people, history and culture fascinate me.

No. Sorry, but we hate brown people.

Why would a Russian person communicate with anglosaxon savages in their inferior language?

What village are you from? Haven't you heard new hit "Yo feel the flow que pasa paradox"?

>4.yes, its safer than many American cities, few big Russian cities have something as dangerous as say ghettos
Which ones?
