Who likes contemporary jazz with the bleeps and the bloops here?
Jaga Jazzist, Jazzanova, Amon Tobin, Kaidi Tatham, Xploding plastiX, Skalpel, Bugge Wesseltoft, Squarepusher, Nils Petter Molvaer, stuff like that?
What have you been spinning lately?
Any new releases you've enjoyed?
Seen anyone good live?
I fucking hated Head Hunters, but Amon Tobin, Skalpel, and Squarepusher are fucking awesome. I'm not sure where that leaves me.
i like nosaj thing. does that count? i cant even process thoughts right now he has a great live show
On the right side for this thread, its for more electronic+jazz rather than via versa
I don't really know nosaj thing?

I can recommend Future Sounds of Jazz. All 12 volumes

Vol.1 looks alright, always thought Compost Records were more of a downtempo label.
I'm personally in love with vol 9, maybe because it was the first one I bought, by coincidence. They're all good listen though
Will have a butchers through them all later, just googled them and was having a look on Discogs and #1 came up first.
Any artists in particular from them you like?
>Bugge Wesseltoft
He looks strangely familiar...
Hird, Alexander Kowalski and Dntel.
They're my top three.
Alright cool, will listen out for them
>I fucking hated Head Hunters
you are literally the first person I have ever seen have this opinion
that's a pretty incredible opinion, how in fuck do you not like head hunters
that's amazing, you are an amazing human being
>I fucking hated Head Hunters,
Gosh, do you hate fun, user?
I never open SC links, I always assume its just someone spamming their own shit around the board.
well not in this case. I just was few years ago on their gig and that's the only thing I could find of them
cool, will do then, just for you
not into most of that with the exception of squarepusher and amon tobin, heard most you listed
personally I prefer hancocks weird phase, magic windows anyone?
it's like watching a new sci-fi flick compared to 2001, bladerunner, metropolis. just doesn't hold up ya kno.
