I've been mad about it. For the past like 6 months I have been screeching about people posting feedback in threads so it isn't just a giant circlejerk. Droopies was falling into the category of getting away with it because people were calling them "quality." In the last thread someone was mad too so now I know it isn't just me.

That's true; there were like three people in the last thread that had clearly had enough

This (you) is about neither your review nor your music.

FEEDBACK
>Good
Style and production, it's full but not jarring.
>Improve
Every song sounds the same because of the production. There isn't really a flow it's just there and stays in the same place. Mix it up.

>Good
Atmospheric, additions keep it interesting
>Improve
The additions are made on the same base which never changes, it's like you write a verse and nothing else which gets boring after a while.

>Good
Funky, aesthetic, MGS game over sound on Netscape
>Improve
Can't think of anything, I get what you're going for

>Good
Instruments, effects and production are all on point, feeling it
>Improve
Vocals are not my thing, either too drowned out or the delivery feels like it's uninterested, not feeling it

>Good
It really is, keep it up. Will definitely rec you in future threads

Give my album a listen, feedback is always appreciated.

This is a good video.

Pretty quality country rock stuff. Not my thing but it's good.

Reminds me of recent Earl Sweatshirt stuff, I really like it, especially the vocal samples. Hope you put out more soon.

idk if this is supposed to be ironic or whatever but it kind of reminds me of early Throbbing Gristle, like stuff from The Second Annual Report. Excellent Boy is far superior to the first track.

I really like the cover art! Was expecting to be pretty underwhelmed considering that like 90% of bandcamps posted here are "jangle pop" but I actually like this quite a bit. "Heater" has a really nice sound to it, I'm a sucker for that electric + acoustic instrumentation. The bells/synth toward the end are beautiful. I'll definitely check out the rest of the album shortly.

Another great album cover. Not a fan of the percussion, but I really like the guitar work and the vocals. "Head" and "Conceded" have beautiful lyrics.

when the vocals first came in, I chuckled a bit because of how different they are from usual rap stuff. I would work on maybe putting a little more energy behind the vocals, a lot of the time it feels a bit monotone. The beats are great, they've got a very black metal vibe to them that I love. I appreciate that the lyrics also follow the BM aesthetic and aren't typical hip hop fare. Definitely going to check out your other demos.

nigga this is a BC thread

Not bad at all, great track titles. Can't say I enjoy "GG" but I appreciate what you were trying to do...it's insane. "The Fibb" and "Apex Rage" are very good.

Not usually a fan of your stuff but gave Infection a listen. I liked "Loss" and "Nero" a lot, didn't care much for "Erased." You know what you're doing.

Too noisy for my tastes.

1/2

I really like your album artworks. Not a fan of the vocals, but I very much liked "Elsol" and "Bases." Going to check out your other albums

This is actually amazing, I love this sort of improv rock type stuff...your art teacher's got pretty good taste. Going to listen to the rest of this shortly

I love this. Utterly fantastic beat, wonderfully chaotic. The rapping is alright, I wish it was a bit more enunciated but the energy is definitely there. Death Grips is a pretty obvious influence, but this is different-sounding enough to stand on its own. Will be looking forward to future releases.

Your aesthetic is neat, the music isn't really my thing though. Keep doing what you're doing.

Usually not a big fan of vaporstuff, but this is pretty good. "Install Wizard" is great, I also liked "Rebooted" a lot. Will check out the rest of your stuff too.

"legendary soloist" and "paranoia" are really good. Very depressive, also like the vocal samples. Reminds me of old movies you'd catch on TV at your grandparents'.

Hilarious track titles, love the trumpet fight sample on the first track. 10/10 memes, friend.

all me (^:

Kinda reminds me of SALEM but more organic and harsh. I dig it.

Really enjoying the vocal work (especially on head), everything is just slightly unsettling but it works well.

Interesting stuff, some of it reminds me of Pilotredsun

really good and cute af damn

i can definitely see the anco comparison. but it sort of has a gauntlet hair vibe to it as well. i really like it. it's pretty industrial too.

Interesting listen, but underwhelming, and gets boring easily
Really fucking great album, man.

alrighty, fella from here. Can certainly hear the influence from the early Microphones material, though if there was any issue I might have with the album its just that it may seem a bit too indebted to those kind of lo fi influences. Some of those songs sound like they could've been taken straight off Don't Wake Me Up, which isn't necessarily a criticism, but isn't necessarily a compliment. I mean at times your voice straight up sounds like how Bill Callahan did during the early Smog stuff, though I guess you can't really control that, and is actually pretty neat considering how much I love that stuff. And as a more direct critique, the few times when the vocals got a bit too atonal were not vibing with me at all.

though that all sounds much more negative than what my overall impressions actually were. Enjoyed the album a lot, was a very charming, respectful homage to the folky lo-fi stuff we all know and love, which you don't really see done with any actual sincerity nowadays. very neato

here

It is planned out, concept and all. Really put a lot of effort and work into this debut.

I seriously don't understand people like this who just post their shit without contributing anything at all to thread.

I understand if you can't post some kind of in depth feedback to someone else every thread, but Jesus you can't even say hi or give any kind of a sign that you're not just some spam bot shilling this stuff? It's just so lazy, and usually the people who do it aren't prone to giving previous feedback to begin withe. Like what the fuck do you even gain from doing that? A couple new listens here and there? A download if you're lucky? Is that the reason you make music?

Jesus, I'm sorry for the autism rant, but I just don't get it. These threads could just be so much better than they are.

I want to introduce my music - straight to the poin without any meanless babble who no one cares about cus' i dont know anybody here and nobody here knows me. So just zip it and enjoy the damn music!

not everyone posts for circle jerking. some people just want to expose their music or listen to other people's. and while often I'll just post in the thread, often I'll just review without even posting my own bandcamp. it's the internet, people can do what they want

Yeah, but if you stop interacting the thread will become shit and no one'll feel motivated to listen to the music.
It doesn't have to be circlejerking. I'd be glad if someone shat on my music as long as it's constructive. Like yesterday, when someone didn't like my EP, called it boring, and the ending disappointing.

connorleary.bandcamp.com/album/propitiation

> Baroque pop
> Vocal Harmonies
> Obvious Brian Wilsony influences, but it also extends to flaming lips, mercury rev, ELO, Pizzicato Five, ect.

I've got a new album in the very early stages. Really excited about what little I've got so far. Trying to do something a bit more self indulgent and eccentric.

Oh gosh, some fantastic shit today.

man this is fantastic to the point where I almost want to spite you for putting out a bonifide artistic statement on bandcamp before I could ever manage to. I guess instead I'll just rec it. I will say though that I'm not really a big fan of the way you've recorded your guitars. I get that it's a bedroomy lo-fi kind of thing but I'll never like that garbled compressed acoustic guitar sound that you get on so many laptop and phone mics

really like what you're doing here, and I like your arrangements a lot and I love the songwriting in general. I realize it's hypocritical coming from me but your synths sound a little TOO synth-y to me - especially the drums. Maybe try to tighten up the backing vocals, your falsetto goes flat pretty frequently. Try to really open up your throat and belt out those notes with as much air as possible. Sure, plenty of people wont hear it, but if you get those harmonies locked in spot on then it'll create this really full and bright shine. I'm definitely going to listen to this though and take some arrangement notes. On a side note, I'm thrilled to see someone else making weird orchestral poppy stuff in a bandcamp thread.
