That's not Mystic Stylez
This album is pretty great.
Pleb opinion
This is the staple. The most sampled memphis tape ever. As far as influnce goes 2thick is to memphis pyscho rap what Drag Rap is to New Orleans Bounce.
Three Six Mafia made several hits off of Buckshot's verse alone.
this is the best memphis rap album
we droppin this shit like bombs
Tommy Wright is a legend, but ashes 2 ashes isn't his magnum opus.
This is.
you know there's memphis rap outside of that same 90s 3 6 sound right
A PLAYER BROUGHT YOU IN THIS GAME A PLAYER TAKE YOU OUT THIS THANG
It's this desu
where bitch
y'all don't even know
wrong track kid
rec me stuff similar to tom skee mask? his flow is killer
The fact that you think the psycho rap sound came from 3 6 mafia negates the aura of knowledge you have of their rap scene.
i cant find any g ,been looking for a minute but nothing can touch this animosity track
personally i find all of tommy wrights stuff good, but not amazing
i'm sure it's super influential, but it just seems like very average memphis to me
Anyways personally my favorite is koopsta knicca - da devils playground although mystic stylez is an obvious contender
mandatory memphis mega archivev post
I love at 4:20 when they do that random singing part. THE MOST ghetto thing
i recently discovered tom skee mask's solo tape.
HOLY SHIT
I used to take this genre as sort of a guilty pleasure but this is serious shit
that part is so funny. nothing like being so gangster you can get away with falsetto soul singing
youtube.com
bump because it's beeen too long since /MHHG/
is skimask troopaz related to tom skee mask?
that sort-of west coast beat and laid-back flow really makes this my favorite tom skee song
Another favorite
i think everyone used to ironically listen to this.
but the more you listen, the more you realize that the production and flow is great, and that they are the most real. People listen to it like its funny gangster shit, but its so real to them.
i agree, heres some junts ive been kickin back to

"give a nigga inch,, hes bound to take a yard
give a nigga trust, he bound to break ya heart" lyrics on that reminisce track are too smooth
How? He's like the gucci mane of pyscho rap, as far as cult like status goes.
Maybe his vocab isn't as sophisticated as Lord Infamous but pound for pound he can go toe to toe from anyone is memphis. His rapid pace flow is laidback and his lyrics go hard.
To this day you'll still hear Meet Yo Maker bumping somewhere in the city.
> mfw ITT
Mah niggas. Noticed yall like laod back memphis junts. Scope this out.

You need to ride slab to this.
Here's another great tom skee song youtube.com
I think that's it: you start by liking it because it's sort of goofy and lo-fi (a little reminiscent of viper) but eventually you start appreciating how much they're pouring into it. You can feel their heart and soul going into ti and it seems like they did a good job of capturing the streets of Memphis in the mid-late 90s.
that part at 2:05!!
goddamn, how did i forgot about this tape
OMG finally found a link for DJ Livewire's Vol. 2. Been looking forever!!
Player 1 and bloody bones need some respect in this thread youtube.com
so does low down sinista youtube.com
niggaz of destruction is pretty cool, and the name is brutal as fuck
ancensored.com
does anybody recognize the song in this video?
for the homies tryin to get spooky,, lil halloween junt
RIP 2 Low down his shit was hard as fuck.
Can you rec me some orange juice click? The mega has:
-gansta tales
-pimps, macs, hustals & playaz
-so thick
-crazy red
I guess I just don't find his flow very compelling. It's all too matter-of-fact or something.
i really only go as far as that reminisce track, im sure theres more quality though, i know that piece is from "gangsta tales " i think thats your best bet
hahaha, how the fuck did you come across this video
it sounds like the sample to low down sinista - bible and my pistol
What do you think of this tape
Red Dog is alright but Shawty Pimp is one of the top tiers producers.
His samples are god tier.
damn, "trizick" is an amazing word
this is the best song to come out of memphis youtu.be
I don't know about a memphis tape, but the instrumental is used by houston's own DJ Screw.
youtube.com
This trcak is one of his big hits.
Ma niggah, was going to post this also
thanks for the response (and the reminder to get back into dj screw). was what i was thinking of but it didn't help me find the sample, so hopefully yours will
I BEEN WASTIN' ALL MY TIME
FOOLIN' ROUND WITH MIDNIGHT HOES
I BEEN WASTIN' ALL THIS TIME
JUMPIN' IN AND OUT MY CLOTHES
I BEEN WASTIN' ALL THIS TIME
BLOWIN' INDO OUT MY NOSE
I BEEN WASTIN' ALL THIS TIME
NOW THAT'S JUST HOW MY LIFE GOES
MIDNIGHT HOOOOOEEEEEESSSSSS
If you mean the original sample the song is by Art of Noise, and song is called moments of love.
