This shit should be worth cents per kilo, even if you don't have a lot of soil.

Really? There must be no starving people in France.

Googled. 2kg of carrots cost 8 euros in Korea.

Same here.
Maybe we just have a shit-ton of farms.
Or maybe there is shortage of farmers like in other countries: youtube.com/watch?v=_TozVHAQG3Q

>*Or maybe there is NOT A shortage of farmers

In Russia u can buy 3-4 kg of carrots for 2$.
Now i understood why Japan have a highest suicide rate. They just not able to eat enough carrots

Wow korea can be a good ally of Singapore,we both have so many similarities like Highest Stress Rates,Highest Working Hours,Highest Cost Of Living,Highest number of Studying hours,High sucide rates

Why are they so expensive?

Is it not locally grown?

Or is it one of those 'Organic' ones?

I use the one that is wireless and remote-controlled.

Either a shortage of farmers youtube.com/watch?v=_TozVHAQG3Q or maybe a lack of soil. Probably both.

TPP

Carrots grow good here and weve got the foodpowerhouse that is the netherlands around.
Obscure asian stuff you take for granted is probably pretty expensive here.

4kg here

But how.
Endland is snow desert.

Actually the carrots are Finnish. They're so dirt cheap because farming is subsidized like crazy. It isn't actually profitable to farm pretty much anything here, would be cheaper to import everything

wtf I love Finland now

they look fat and unnatural

Yeah, a single Chinese pear / nashi is around €0.70, you can probably get almost a kilo of regular apples for that. Gotta plant myself a tree next year

Lol chinese pear cost same as apples hag

Well not here unfortunately
Pomegranates are expensive as fuck too, a single one €1 to €3 depending on season

There were several typhoons this summer that hit largely agrarian areas, so prices of vegetables for the rest of the year have been higher than normal.

But I can get locally-grown carrots for about 38 yen.

no way
