This. Slo-core is the definitive "I'm just pretty sad right now, man." genre.
Ayden Cook
Some albums on my "sad" playlist that aren't on your list.
Antlers - Hospice Brand New - The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me Carrissa's Weird - Songs About Leaving Low - Things We Lost In the Fire Mountain Goats - Talahassee The Microphones - The Glow, Pt 2 Nick Drake - Pink Moon Patron Saint of Bridge Burners - Sorry
Grant Lee Buffalo's "Fuzzy" and "Mighty Joe Moon" albums have some good "sad" stuff. Recommend "Happiness", "Mockingbirds", and "Fuzzy"

I've listened to Deathconsciousness over and over lately. It almost feels good to think about killing myself over and over.
Xavier Ward
Not dark (it's actually Emo/Indie) but the lyrics are about suicide.
"I called in sick from your funeral The sight of your family made me feel responsible And I found the notes you left behind Little hints and helpless cries Desperate wishing to be over
You said you’re trapped in your body And getting deeper every day They diagnosed you born that way They say it runs in your family A conscious erasure of working class background Where despair trickles down Imbalanced chemical crutch Open up, swallow down You said “remember me for me I need to set my spirit free”"

Jackson Diaz
OP again...and holy shit the first two are amazing (Also the trees and manic street preachers). I guess I know what I'm doing the next while to listen to all these suggestions!
1,3,4, & 5 are some of my favorite albums of all time and I'm a huge Cure fan I just haven't listened to much past disintegration and three imaginary boys so I guess I best go check out number 2.

This is one of the darkest albums to listen to

"Songs About Leaving" kills me every time I listen to it, I'm still pissed I couldn't see them live This is sad core but most of whats being listed here is way different in tone. Xiu Xiu is really agressive experimental pop about suicide. It gives off a way different vibe and feel then something like Carissa's Wierd.
