The other one is on it's last leg. Let's get post hot shit, baby. Share your music, give feedback, support your favorites, and most importantly discover as many great, new artists as you can.
hey dude I just got your stuff on my ipod. your work inspires me to make my own music better. I struggle a lot with making my melodies actually sound like melodies instead of 2 droning notes. going to do some studyin' of your work!
Eric Taxxon's new album Copy is equivocal to the creation of Frankenstein. A creation made of bits and pieces of other former creations, used to create a deliberate feeling of intrigue, interest, and even in some cases, horror. Copy is that Frankenstein, in which pieces are constructed, produced, and heavily edited in mere audacity files, in order to create one massive being all together.
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And Eric give some love. Thank You. :)

Proud Supporter Of:
Jacob Walker
really like this, nice and crusty sound and short track lengths work really well
>only aim is to be catchy You succeeded >lo-fi laptop microphone rock How did you manage make it sound this good?
Grayson Powell
thanks dude, just loads of quiet tracks stacked on top of each other which don't overload the mic
Chase Johnson
Now THIS is a load of fun. Some obvious influences are Guided by Voices, Ariel Pink, and the like. I also think of the album "Cut Me Down and Count My Rings" by Half Handed Cloud. There is absolutely nothing wrong here with the timbre or the lyrics. But I think you need to work on your melodies. Make them shine. And try singing more clearly.
Nice and moody track from established contender AP Macroeconomics. Strange sounds throughout. Good job.
This is also darn good. There's a lot of good stuff in this thread. Usually when I give feedback I end up criticizing everyone a lot but this stuff is cool. My only real critique is that you ought to try as hard as possible to avoid the nasal tone that plagues all of us young white boys in their singing.
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback (Mt. Salad) and I'm glad you enjoyed. It was a ton of fun to make. I agree with the melodies point, it's my first album where I really had to write/sing vocal melodies so I'm learning.
Also good ear - Alien Lanes was basically on nonstop rotation while this was made. Although I actually haven't checked out Ariel Pink yet
Eli Walker
Ah yeah, Alien Lanes is a classic.
Here's some of the type of Pink that your music reminded me of btw:
we finished our split series a couple days ago. 7 releases featuring artists like Eric Taxxon, Epiglottis, Shaun Hathaway and The Ambiguity. We also have tape copies of Eric Taxxon's Copy () available.
Listening now. Thought it was going to be dark drone type stuff until that beat came in. Loving the fuck out of that groove on the second track. Then that change about 2 minutes in. Holy shit.
vocals are super cringey, music is generally cheesy. if i was in this band i could only be proud of the drums if they are live but they are too perfect.
Connor Gutierrez
Respectable ambition but really doesn't sound good enough to actually listen to. That craft's gotta be honed and then the product's gotta be polished.
Lucas Garcia
There really isn't a whole lot to say about a 1:10 track like this. I don't mean to sound rude, but it's very forgettable. Nothing about this differentiates you. I don't know what your plans are, but I would work on songs that use more ideas and feature progression in their composition.
So this isn't bad. It's just something that really doesn't stand out to me at all.
Christian Hall
Yeah man I just made a minute of sound for the fuck of it really, my main band is this
is neat no slop but I'd drop the retro ... act. keep it real when coppin the best flow
Josiah Ramirez
Oh shit yeah, I'm enjoying that link. Great stuff.
Also I really enjoyed the video for hypnogogic heliotrope. Kind of made me understand where you're going with it more. Still doesn't stand out to me musically, but I'll keep my eyes out if you post anything new in these threads in the future.
Ayden Cook
Here to rec window listener, scrugley, even oxen, and epiglottis, although I heard he doesn't come around here anymore.
>indie pop >lo-fi Forgot to promote the BC so the numbers have been garbage lately. If you listen via Spotify/Apple music it's on there too. I put it through the free aggregator and it turns out I have to generate $50 in streaming revenue to get any of the money I've made, so I guess I'll see it in five years. It seemed smarter to use the free one and have to wait rather than actively paying for nobody to give a shit ya feel?
Aaron Phillips
sweet. successfully introduced band by posting 1 minute of sound
thx
Ian Sanchez
I'm happy someone else enjoys the one they call Michael
Carter Phillips
tell michael he is a pepe. I'll be listening to Sacagawea
(talking about the Minds album) Some tracks are boring. Some tracks are decent. Some tracks are really fucking good. But the problem with most is the production. Clipping audio, it might be really damn unpleasant while not even overwhelming. Reminds me of myself. I still struggle with making music sound not completely shit.
Lucas Hernandez
A-any EDM?
Jackson James
Thanks user, I really appreciate the feedback, although I was going for a lo-fi + wall of reverb sound. Anyways, could you please tell me which tracks you liked the most and hated the most? I'm currently working in more ambient based stuff, but I would like to take back some elements from the album (not the vocals though, don't worry)
By the way, thanks for the support, to whoever who bought the album. It means a lot. Feel free to ask me for free codes, or for anything, if you want to.
Brody Howard
Thanks. I try to have a unique approach but not too unique. I'm still afraid "unique" is a euphemism for terrible.
me and my housemate made this in a week using only an iPad and some ingenuity. It's hardly going to win any awards, but for a weekend fuelled by benzos and devil's lettuce, it's not terrible.
I would genuinely appreciate some feedback please.
Lincoln Adams
I should've included >electronic >funk >world
idk how to describe it's weird but it's funky af, there's a talking head sample and spanish rap just get on it lads
Jackson Parker
stfu Droopies are all time greats on this board. they dont owe you shit.
Adrian Smith
>implying
Josiah Lopez
absolutely cringy, gets boring after a while jk this is actually good. The drums sound incredibly bulky, the vocals are pleasant, the synth and the guitars blend into each other and form a really sweet soundscape. The band is together that's for sure
Elijah Powell
I like it a lot. The beats are smooth I like the faded lo fi essence. I think the effort of bismillah shows through on Lycanthrope, probably my favorite track.
But they aren't though and that's the thing. I swear people think they are good just because they post here every single day and get recs from the same other people who post here every day. It's a poorly mixed/mastered album that doesn't color outside the lines at all, other albums in these threads should be getting way more recognition for actually being interesting and engaging
Jason Martinez
can we stop trying to turn my fav band into a meme?
Anthony Torres
Preety good!

Ok well it was way more than an hour, but here's my thoughts:
Fuckin great man, the "themes" of the songs is the kind of stuff i try to portray. I gotta listen to this more
There are surprisingly many black metal bands in Iceland considering the population is barely higher than in my hometown.
Juan Lewis
i'm putting out a new ep/mini album/whatever soon ish attached is the artwork here's a video of the only song i'm releasing from it prior to its full release youtube.com/watch?v=ulXKBzqAtLY&feature=youtu.be
