Palmless prayer is such a depressing album.
You might like Emmalee Crane. Her stuff also has a sad atmosphere.

fine. dont skip joe byrd and the field hippies if you like the usa

listen to the go! team's first album, try getting the remastered/rerecorded version with more tracks, or the promo that was cut. same story as with sily, and kind of a similar style too

I'm not in the mood for reccing right now

I've already told you, but nice chart

Hopefully one day I will be well versed enough in jazz to be able to rec you... i listened to the Ran Blake & Jeanne Lee record the other day and really enjoyed it.

>grimes

Hi

>snaps

>bites

>throws rocks at

>plays drone very loudly in front of

>bashes drums

>throws leftover bones into fire pit in front of

>spits ground

>sacrifices their goats

that's a lot of destroyer dude

I hope you enjoyed it, it's something special making it sound different from other vocal jazz. Jeanne is a very talented vocalist.

What do you guys use to make these charts?

Thanks!

Well yeah pretty much his whole discography... he kind of is my favorite music artist

Well the only rym review for the album mentions it was recorded in a hall, and I think the echo-ey atmosphere gives it a lot of charm

Yeah. Sorry but apart from his collaboration with Fripp i struggle with Eno.

The echo is a lot of the charm, glad you liked it still.

hmm
have you tried Before And After Science? u should at least be able to appreciate the second side

Homogeny of chart threads.

REC ME STUFF PLEASE.

I dig, dog. If you haven't heard the upsetters or any Charles mingus i suggest them.

I see you dig Aja, have you heard "Can't buy a thtill" but it's got some great tunes on it. I prefer Aja, but i dig it.

Listen to 1999 by joey badass if youhaven't already.

you seem to like pop. Listen to "all things must pass" if yuo haven't already

back when /chart/ was pleb this was easy
>tfw complemented by sanic yesterday
v rare

when exactly was /chart/ pleb

we have similar tates. Listen to Charlie Hadens Liberation music orchestra. Also if you're yet to listen to any other tom wiats give his whole lot a listen. I was only listening to raindogs for a while and it is my favorite, but he has some other great abums.

like a year and a half ago, it was all charts of kanye and gorillaz and the caption was "i know im pleb but..."

look around man

I love closing time, swordfishtrombones, haven't checked out much of his 90s output. I hear it can be hit or miss. Should i just give Mule Variations a go?

thanks for the other rec, I have seen this but never thought about it

I really loved mule variations, but I prefer blood money it's in my top 3 tom waits records. his voice is gnarly on that one, the type of music you would not show young children.

As for the Charlie haden record it's not the most "easy listening" peice of work, but stick with it. I really enjoy it and i see that you dig Black saint and the sinner lady so you may enjoy the haden.

Blood Money looks good
>Charlie Haden album has Carla Bley on it
>Also has strong political backing
I am sold desu

The people here have changed quite a bit, I am not complaining, I just don't know exactly what to rec much more. Glad to have such an eclectic little group here now though.
Anyways BRIAN (if that is your name) get into Stars of the Lid

The December Sound: The Silver Album

why does the absence album have such a shitty cover? sounds pretty good but i don't think i can handle the shitty album art. looks like white trash high school metal band.

this took me longer to make than expected

looking for cool BLEEPS please help

pygmy lush - mount hope
s - sadstyle
eric's trip - love tara

planning for burial - leaving
whirr - distressor
the angelic process - weighing souls with sand

hood - rustic houses forlorn valleys
alison's halo - eyedazzler
interpol - turn on the bright lights

blockhead - music by cavelight
long arm - the branches
dj krush - strictly turntablized

Return to the 36 chambers - Ol' Dirty Bastards
gravediggaz - 6 feet deep

Criminal E & Underground Sam - N G's We Trust
Gangsta Blac - Breakin Da Law
Al Kapone - Sinista Funk

Michio Kadotani - 腐っていくテレパシーズ
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Scared Famous

The album cover is bad, but I don't think it is that bad. Even if it was, I don't think an album cover has put me off to the point I didn't want to hear the album and not give it a fair chance. It's the music that matters ultimately, surely. And it's a great album. I think if the album art was grotesque or offensive that would understandable, but it's just not a particularly good cover and that's it.

aphex twin

this eric's trip album is very good so far thanks user. I love s.
ODB is the shit. i'll check out gravediggaz. much appreciated

...

Pls Rec

...

I have been meaning to listen to that Alison's Halo album
>bleeps
desu one of my favorite albums is James Blake's self titled. I get that he is a pitchfork darling, but when he made that album, he obviously didn't have a clue how his career would be. It is pretty true to that dub-inspired wonky sound. A bit lo-fi too.

thanks for the rec, but I have heard it.
++ Big Moe
Heat Wave - I Am Fuckin You Tonight

>lowercase - The Going Away Present
this is good so far thank u v much
That matt elliot album was dece from what i remember but all of the bleeps fucking ruin the mood entirely
