It's time for a guitar music Soundcloud thread

It's time for a guitar music Soundcloud thread.

Felt triggered by this article today, let's prove it wrong: consequenceofsound.net/2016/11/where-have-all-the-indie-rock-bands-gone/

Plot twist: post a band/artist that you know of and genuinely r8 8/8 to create some discussion on how rock music can be brought back from the abyss.

DJs need not apply.

the ball is now rolling: soundcloud.com/catholic-action/rita-ora-2

Love this band from Glasgow, Scotland. Great marriage between some twangy-crunch, guessing from a strat and throwing in a bit of synth. Bass pops out nice and fresh and solid drumming all round for a really fun song.

Love the batman sample, makes you sit up and listen. Demo quality is demo quality but I like the synchronisation between the drums and the band in the chorus. Joint breaks always sounds proper tight on stage and helps keep everyone together. nice.

>Heavy bluesy indie

This song has been out for a few weeks but the band seem to have only just stuck the song on soundcloud. Good production for an unsigned band, vocalist has a nice timbre.

old track but i'd thought i'd share:

Guitar on all the songs!
This is a debut album, some alt. rock.

you'll have to take my word that it's not mine I suppose

>article cites Animal Collective as rock's glory days
>MPP and Centipede Hz weren't even released 10 years ago

Yeah... rock isn't dead, it's just in a bit of a rut. The majority of rock's releases in the 2000s had this same problem, people just forget the bad and remember the good. Give it 10 or 15 years, people will be saying this exact same thing about how we no longer have bands like Viet Cong and Deafheaven or something.

The best way to save rock is to re-envision it tbqh

I think rocks on it's way back around. Hopefully it's coming back soon. I know there's great bands out now but I hope the mainstream appeal comes back as well

My band is working on it's first EP and this is the first draft of one of our songs. No mixing or vocals done yet. but we would be thankful for any critique.

Just made this song today it was raining so i recorded some of it for this song, there's a little mandolin in it too

whoops its a guitar thread
sorry about that

I'm writing rock music on my soundcloud but I don't feel like dumping it and leaving. I'm not very good at producing and I just use it to dump ideas I've been sitting on now that I'm no longer in a band.

People have been saying rock is dead for so long. But new guitar music comes out every day. No need to be triggered.
All the best;
