Post your album of the year, your 2016 chart if you have one, albums that let you down, albums that surprised you, discuss, etc. I'd also like to thank whoever recced this gem in the /depressing/ the other day, I love it.
2016 /AOTYSF/
That might just be the worst fucking band name I've ever seen.
Yeah, I'm personally not a huge fan of edgy names and poor English in music bothers me a lot, but the music's good.
uhh, no it's not...
this is an album that I like
...
tomorrow's weather is supposed to be bad so I'll check this album out then
whoa, they still make music?
yeah this is where I started b/c it was a recent rec but I downloaded the earlier album and EP, I mean to check them out when I'm done w/ this one
I hope you enjoy it, it's kind of atmospheric and ambient at points
Street Sects - End Position
I've been meaning to listen to that, I DL'd it. Heard a lot of good things
need to add another line.
I'm bad for keeping up on listening myself
I'm not so bad about that, but I've just recently kind of decided that another 5 can make the cut for me.
that's dope and not what I was expecting
no one actually unironically believes these are AOTYs
not even you
I think mostly you don't believe it, but that's ok.
Top 10
Fight me
why not?
DL'd the Samorost 3 Soundtrack
I've yet to play the game but I got the soundtrack as soon as it was out. Love the work Floex does.
All of his albums are good, and previous soundtracks. Well worth checking out if you haven't.
Eversince aoty
finally listened to the glowing man this week, I'm glad gira & co. are comfortable enough to write those long tracks without making them aimless

Frank Ocean – Endless
Went into this a skeptic, came out with my mind blown. It's so cohesive. It's urgent and calm, nervous and peaceful, bold and quiet; emotional through and through. Didn't really like Blonde or his other stuff but this fucking album I tell you.
no competition modern day pet sounds
pic related AOTY
deserves an honorable mention. I enjoyed it
>o'brother

wasn't a fan of blonde and didn't bother with this when both were released, gave it a chance since your post seemed so genuine. Glad I did, regret not listening to it sooner

Astrid S - EP
i really like coloring book and dc4
also young thug's run has been amazing this year and his best project is still on the way
I only understand 25% of the lyrics.
And that's okay.

hadn't heard it before, was a pretty good listen
Dis
>The Tragically Hip - Man Machine Poem
I was very surprised by this album. I am also surprised how much I love it.
>PUP - The Dream is Over
I still enjoyed this album, but it was a little bit of a let down after their self titled debut.
...
I really need to update this, but have a do anyway

Yikes, worst picks of the thread.

I would fight you BRAH.
but desu that OfMontreal record was terrible and aimless. You'd have to be braindead to enjoy that record desu, nigger.
+1 for the body and wknd nachos
This was really good. I don't think it topped Blazing Fires but it was nice to hear a heavier take on their sound (even if the mixing and vocals were questionable). The quiet parts are the best, the storyline is very depressing.
