stratosphere
Dear Mr fantasy by traffic
Stratosphere doesn't really give off that effect. Something like this: youtube.com
That's exactly what i was looking for. Thanks!
Elvis Depressedly
>a happy version of Have A Nice Life's "I Don't Love"
>happy, nostalgic feel
>fast... or at least making your body move with the beat
>screeching, beautiful shoegaze'y guitar solos hanging on very few notes and exploding in noise
>powerful, driving bassline recorded on a wal or jazz bass with brand new strings
my favorite albums are lift your skinny fists (especially storm) and sunbather, so that's why, perhaps. please give me more of that stuff
A shoegaze song as good as only shallow that isnt itself (srs)
the rest of the album
what about something not by MBV
MBV - Soon is exactly that but you've probably already heard it
>like Kid A / Amnesiac but with better lyrics/vocals
>droning guitar line
>brooding sound
>spacey vocals
something kinda like this song i guess
youtube.com
>introspective, sad, something to listen to when stoned
>heavy droning guitars
>quality textures
>soft lyrics
Try listening to Iceage's album plowing through the fields of love?
>depressed psychedelic space rock
Music like for a rave, intense alive, like a mix of The Prodigy and Animal Colective
thanks, i'll check it out
Sunny indietronica but with folk metal type lyric themes about warrior stuff.
this maybe?
youtube.com
Anything that sounds like this
youtube.com
I love this

I wasn't exactly looking for it but I'm pretty into this so far
Wake up - mad seasons 4 u OP Senpai desu
Moist buttums
youtu.be
This, but louder and more noise.
fugazi + mbv = ??
Like the first 2 albums from the mars volta but different.
anything similar to post-rock that incorporates elements of other genres in a way that doesn't sound too cheesy or forced
thx
i'm glad you like it.
youtube.com
Try this? It hits all the notes you seem to be looking for.
Meant to post this as a request. Sorry, but I doubt it's anything you'd like OP.
you might like this friend
youtube.com
mah nigga
My ideal songs as i've started to notice consist almost always of 3 factors:
>slow start, slow build to climax
>monster solo (pre, not essential)
>haunting lyrics
Songs for like example One & Fade to black (metallica), Majestic & king of the kingdom of man(wax fang), wake up (mad seasons), shine on you crazy diamond (Pink Floyd), el triste (jose jose), circuital & touch me i'm going to scream (My morning jacket).
Anyone got any suggestions of what i might like?
idk maybe start listening to good music
Do you know what album the Les Rallizes Denudes song is from?
>Mellow
>fun, yet introspective lyrics
>catchy
>irregular instrumentation
No PF or AnCo
Spirituzalized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space
>subjective medium
>calling it good or bad
Wew lad
unwound's leaves turn inside you?
my perfect song already exists though
youtube.com
Lilys - There's No Such Thing As Black Orchids
the original version
this may be the gayest shit ive ever seen. get a life.
...
haha lel funny meme xD
>Drone
>Ambient
>Shoegaze
>Possibly Abstract
It would be heavily noise, but I'd want to be able to make out some sounds or voices in the background.
belong - colorloss record'
Hierarchy - Lightfoils
youtube.com
try this?
i was suggesting to OP
So you like meeems friendo? :^)
birchville cat motel - beautiful spark triumph
I like that gif and think it's very cute

minimal, repetitive, futuristic, but not techno
youtube.com
Iceage - You're blessed
Post-Garage Stonergaze with psych influences
Basically, Thee Oh Sees meets King Gizzard meets Songs for the Deaf meets the Cheatahs meets noise rock.
so grouper
It's all yours :)))
bardo pond - amanita has a lot of songs like that
also true widow - as high as the highest heavens
I do enjoy this, but I was feeling something a little louder and noisier.
It wasn't really what I was looking for, sorry.
This is getting closer.
The most similar to what I was looking for. Thanks!
I appreciate all the replies. However, scrolling through the thread this Sup Forumstant's () post is 99% what I am looking for. Is there anything more like this?
something that sounds like LCD Soundsystem, but isn't LCD Soundsystem.
People dumping their emotions and expressing them musically, not in an attention-seeking way, but rather a creative and expressive way. Best I can think of so far is grunge/alternative
rome's album hell money is him breaking from his typical historical subjects to express the personal and artistic issues he was having after writing Die Æsthetik Der Herrschaftsfreiheit, especially on the last song where he got uncharacteristically blunt. I know a lot of people think it's one of his weaker albums but I find it particularly fascinating as a look into jerome's psyche.
>something that pumps you up
>uses samples
>Vocoder
p-pents?
Sounds like Neon Indian's Vega Intl. Night school but isn't by Neon Indian?
who
>Hard Rock
>Fast riffs
>Good voice
Honey Power by mbv
listen to it
youtube.com
something as psychedelic and hypnotic as guys eyes off mpp
I don't look for them. I make them because I'm that good.
...
I've always wanted to listen to a rap album where they're rapping over nothing but someone playing percussion. I have no idea why though. It'd probably sound bad.
quints, you massive newfaggot
>meaningful lyrics that drain the life out of me
>psychedelic like syd barret pink floyd
>melancholic sounding melodies
spirit they're gone spirit they've vanished has some of that but not a syd barret sound
...
FUCK
blank banshee-style trap but less corny
The Vaselines - Dying For It
I guess
Music like the upbeat parts of early Red House Painters
matt elliott
>ULTRA industrial sound while still being accessible and not Sunn O)))-esque droning
>Excessive use of filters used to distort sound
>Stereotypical fin de siècle 90's electronic sound
>Essentially sounds like EDM if it had been appropriated by the forces of hell
>I've already listened to NIN and KMFDM so don't suggest it
>No trashy garbage like Skinny Puppy or Rob Zombie
I pretty much want it to sound exactly like these songs:
>youtube.com
>youtube.com
>youtube.com
I've tried to delve deep into industrial music to find this type of stuff but the genre is so vast everything I've found is either just metal with not near enough technical components(which I still liked) or just inaccessible experimental droning like Chu Ishikawa's stuff.
Check out Juno Reactor's Labyrinth album.
>Slow, acoustic guitar
>Melancholic
>Preferably alt-rock or some other rock, just not folk.
>Preferably vocals
Anything that makes me loathe in self-pity like Boa - Duvet does
>sounds like Tipper's newer EPs (fathoms, forward escape VIPs)
>please
>I'm desperate
Vaperror's new album
