I'd say tune your guitar, and think of a unique recurring theme and flow for each song. Don't break it up too much, and don't cram a lot of ideas and tempos in one song.

I've only just learned double tracking is a thing, so I have to go back and do that to all my songs. So far it's just the most recent two.

OK, but a decent mic for your PC, laptop, whatever, is like 50 bucks on Amazon. Record into FL Studio demo version, adjust levels before releasing. If you're playing instruments, buy a second mic and make sure you record them separately. alternatively, record the instruments afterwards. you musical hippies always have lots of spare time.
