Out today!!
loving the drums. sounds kinda post-punkish at times, especialy Say Anything. i think the production could bring the drums closer to the mix though. it should feel a bit more punchy, i think. the structures are interesting and a lo-fi production kind of drags the songwriting down, so i'm waiting for a more focused sound from you. it's very good, though - more songs should be executed like Benihana.

Description:
Eric Taxxon's new album Copy is equivocal to the creation of Frankenstein. A creation made of bits and pieces of other former creations, used to create a deliberate feeling of intrigue, interest, and even in some cases, horror. Copy is that Frankenstein, in which pieces are constructed, produced, and heavily edited in mere audacity files, in order to create one massive being all together.

I think this will be my last truly ambient/experimental release for awhile. I think I've drifted a little too far out to sea with that kind of stuff and need to come back to more traditional methods while incorporating some of the stuff I learned.
I'm working on producing a synth-pop/new wave album with some people I know who have a band and I'm also working on a really promising project with a friend. Also have one big one I'm working on alone.
Listened to this yesterday. Not the hugest fan of how it's mixed, but love the songs. Definitely recommend it.
Not worth the hate, although I can understand people wanting you to participate more. Although I'm getting sick of seeing people posting stuff with download codes to make it look like a lot of people bought the thing.
Love this. Some tracks get a little repetitive, but when it hits it's stride it sounds fucking wonderful.

I'm not in a situation to listen to full albums but I'll listen to one or two tracks from some people here.
Just from the first few tracks I can hear a great sense of melody, sounds like you've trained your ear well. Doesn't sound like much else I've heard here.
I like the parts with the acoustic guitar the most, not a huge fan of the panda bear worship but that's just me You do you
Genre tag intrigued me, is that you playing guitar? It has the atmosphere of a lo-fi bedroom folk album in an ambient context, very well done.

Thanks for the video, I really think I needed that right now. Right now I feel like I'm at a crossroads of sorts creatively and it's important to remember this kind of stuff. It's not a perfect solution, but it's kind of an important thing to stand by.

Love the dirty sound, and the vocals are well balanced with the rest of the instruments. The intro to "Dragwire" is crazy. Keep it up.
Pure insanity, this intro will either kill you or make you stronger. Incredibly creative and complex. Would highly recommend, will DL.
Not what I was expecting, considering the tags. Not a terribly huge fan of your vocals but it's obvious a ton of work was put into these songs and their quality reflects that. Will DL.
Cool minimalist stuff. When the beat comes in on "The Day God Was Invented," it's very smooth. There's a lot of distorted pops and crackles in your music, I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it triggers my autism.
Truly great album artwork, absolutely love it. The spacy synths, carefully played guitars, and background noise all work together very well. Very chill, will DL.
Kind of neat but trying a bit too hard to be The Caretaker, it's very derivative. It's well put together but besides the Coke intro really stands out.
Hey, wait, I've heard this before, but I forgot about it...not sure how! This is truly great, love it. Definitely going to DL, recommend it to anyone looking for a unique approach to ambient.
Enjoyed your newest track a lot. The introductory riffs are infectious, very bluesy, I dig it. It's got a lot of twang, something I miss in post rock. Will DL
Listened to "Blues" first, the instrumental is very anxious. At first I thought it was sampled from something else, but I see that you performed it all yourself, I'm very impressed. Going to give Engines a listen next
Seems interesting, but is way too lofi and unintelligible for my tastes. The constant grating noise of the recording just gets on my nerves.
1/2
Reminds me of some of Coil's stuff in the Moon's Milk singles collection. Strange percussion and interesting samples. Very chill, although not particularly engaging.
post with an image brah, or else you get no (You)s. And you should, because this is pretty good. Listened to "Loyals // Tape," the beats are absolutely fantastic. The female vocals on "YE" are orgasmic. "MOLLY" is kind of messy, but I like it.
Not very engaging, although I like the fourth part quite a bit. I would try to make it a bit more busy.
Forgot to (You) you in my main post. I love this
Listened to III, way too lofi for its own good. Might be good, but I really can't even tell due to the recording quality.
Forgot that I had listened to this before. I love your stuff and hope you put out more in the future.
Sounds like all the other lofi indie rock projects on here, but you made an album with Harambe in the title so that automatically makes you worse than all the rest of them.
Wow, I'm impressed just by how many instruments you can play. The music isn't really my thing, but it's quite obviously well performed and a lot of love has been put into it.
I was sold by the bass riff, right off the bat. Love me a good noise rock band. Not a huge fan of the vocals, but the riffs crush enough to make up for it. Very good, would recommend.
Sort of reminds me of Homestar Runner songs at certain points, I like it. Not something I would usually listen to but it's pretty good and very well put together. Great synth sounds, as well. "I used to like dogs" and "Moon" are favorites.
BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW BOW

Don't change your name, pansy. The music is pretty good, although it's not particularly unique.

Wow, thanks.
>I really miss the guitars. Is there a reason why you decided to move away from them so soon?
They never went away, Shock is almost all guitar. Neural has some, second half of Execute as well. Transcendence too. The guitars aren't going anywhere, they're integral to the sound.
>Gave your music a listen.
You make some nasty beats with really melodic synths, NIN style. Great stuff. If you're interested we could collaborate.
I'd love to do a collab. I was trying to do one with another dude I met on here but he hasn't been answering me. Message me with any ideas, I'm up for anything.
