How do you guys fill the sonic range in guitar-drum jam situations? It's hard to be melodic when you have to lay down chords or some implied progression with a bass note.
Well yeah, but its one piece construction body this time, and the korina isnt just veneer like before.
Levi Miller
you find a bassist.
Chase Kelly
(You)
Owen Ross
how autistic is this
Dominic Walker
Needing opinion I play soundscapes Looking to buy a fret-less bass, or a baritone guitar Which one of these should I buy?
Jordan Wood
very
Ryder Jackson
Does it sound good? Is it comfy to play?
Ryder Walker
A fretless alto bass
Andrew King
where do you find such a thing
Luke Nelson
guitar center?
Landon Price
You could find a pretty decent gibson for that price, although the gibson epi frankenstein look is pretty cool. I can't help but think people will assume you just cut the headstock to fool people into thinking youve got a real gibson though.
Jaxon James

Jason Sanders
>mfw tenor basses are really a thing and are also really cute
Henry Price
i dont know i just found the picture
i think it looks uncomfortable to play myself
Jason Reed
I said this last thread but the LQs have a long tenon neck joint like you can only find on $5000 historic Gibsons. I was just wondering if anyone here ever played one before and what they thought about them
Luke Miller
Fug, wanted to post this one instead
Brayden Clark
I haven't played an LQ but I have played a couple of Orvilles and they were consistently very good
Michael Reyes
whats this called when a bar holds down the strings, and the nut just separates them and theyre actually resting on the first fret just after the nut? what're some guitars that use it?
Carter Brooks
zero fret
Wyatt Sanders
you mean the string tree and the zero fret?
Dominic Russell
are you the same guy from the last thread who said the F on the headstock was for Fujigen factory? he said it was the same factory as Greco, and Orville by Gibson. is that as good as it gets as far as Japan guitars are concerned? or is there a factory famous for being even better?
Justin Young
Epiphone basses sound better than Gibson's
Jeremiah Thompson
>teach me how to play guitar user mfw nobody in /gg/ has ever experienced this situation and they never will. kys losers
Brody Anderson
what?
Jose Ward
>are you the same guy from the last thread no > the same factory as Greco, and Orville by Gibson yes, the Orville name was discontinued and replaced with Epiphone
most of the so called "Lawsuit Guitars" were made by FujiGen and Matsumoku
Luis Brown
>mfw I remember that guy who asked if anybody in /gg/ had a girlfriend >and no one did
Evan Sanders
I taught her 3 chords and got 3 fingers in her pussy
Nicholas Hill
>most of the so called "Lawsuit Guitars" were made by FujiGen and Matsumoku good to know thanks. do you know if there is a higher quality factory in Japan I should be looking for?
Owen Russell
This and they were very good, to the point that they're expensive as fuck nowadays when they useed to be a cheap alternative to Gibsons. Fujigen also made jap fenders for a while iirc Tried teaching this girl in highschool. Thought she wanted to fuck but she actually wanted to learn, but was completely incompetent so I stopped trying to help her.
Kayden Robinson
Women are merely a distraction from guitar, user.
Jackson Hall
>broke up with girlfriend >spend the money i spent on her on guitar shit instead
Brandon Mitchell
...
Chase Parker
>never had a girlfriend >kissless virgin >spend all my money on guitar shit, going to gigs and getting shitfaced you'd think i could meet girls going out as much as i do
Eli Gutierrez
Please help me, /gg/ I have an audition in two days and I'm just absolutely fucking clueless about what I'm supposed to do for this. They want me to improvise over it, and I just don't know which scales I'm to use over everything. I was thinking about just arpeggios over it, but that'll obviously get boring. What do you guys recommend?
Charles Clark
>higher quality factory in Japan not that I know of (though I'm by no means an expert) Tokai and Dyna Gakki also make good guitars (both made guitars for Fender Japan which has been consistently good over the years)
Andrew Murphy
god I want an aerodyne strat so bad
Thomas Baker
I have a Epiphone Japan Les Paul Custom Quality is great
Alexander Cook
How the fuck do I play an F chord and also manage to transition afterwards
Julian Garcia
what about the tele?
Jayden Foster
how would you compare it to a Korea or China Epiphone?
Mason Cruz
the alphabet isnt music
Henry Moore
not so keen on em for whatever reason the jbass though...
Jaxon Lewis
wait a minute wasn't this same aerodyne strat sold on reverb maybe a month or two ago i remember really wanting to bid on it, it was ~600something euros and located in russia wish i bought it ;_;
Aiden Reyes
not him but >japan >korea >china
if those are the choices I wouldn't waste my time looking at Korean or Chinese
Japan>>>>>>>>Korea>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>China
Leo Mitchell
dunno it was just a decent pic i googled awhile ago
so you like that 1st gen look, without the pickguard
Jeremiah Perry
holy moly that looks nice. Would buy that in an instant if I found a decent deal.
Lucas Nguyen
with Les Pauls that seems to be it though. America Japan Korea and China
David Smith
yes I do, it just looks so slick without the pickguard and yeah reverse image searching showed that it was the same guitar i wanted to buy, what a coincidence i think the only downside is the basswood body, i don't like light body woods
Thomas Hill
define decent they're only $800 new
Hudson Myers
that's a lot for some people, user
Brody Perez
Practice more
(I'm not fucking with you, this is the real answer)
Camden Foster
Literally just search blues lick lesson on youtube and memorize them for different keys. Switch them around.
Nathan Sanchez
they may be light but they're really alive
Isaiah Green
true enough i guess i got mine back in '05 when they were $530
Lincoln Morales
They used to be a lot cheaper back when I started playing.
>P+J pu combo
disgusting
Luis Peterson
>P+J pu combo works pretty well
I figured most anons would complain about the lack of fret markers
Luis Clark
t-thats a nice pic user
Elijah Lee
>buys a fender instead of a g&l >buys a gibson instead of a PRS
Nolan Bennett
you had to ruin in with the prs shit
Luke Scott
>PRS
Bentley Bell
Honest question, what do people dislike about PRS guitars? Are they just not a good deal for the price point? I'm fairly new to guitars so I've never had a chance to play one, but I mostly hear good things about them.
Ayden Powell
I don't really feel strongly either way apart from not liking the birds.
Bentley Richardson
Maybe I'm just a faggot but I always thought the birds looked comfy.
>inb4 "maybe"
Alexander Rogers
>PRS >bad Is this a meme I am not aware off? I personally think they are comfy as hell to play, and their sound is pretty decent for the price.
Noah Jackson
revolutionary guitars
Austin Harris
I own a PRS and I love this meme
John Cruz
we know you tell us all the time
Julian Collins
no that was the other guy, the one with the pokemon cards I'm not him
Ryder Watson
...
Nicholas Davis
>blues/rock fingerstyle feels nice to be the part of the great tier
Xavier Thomas
You can literally just play any notes off the Bflat blues scale for the entire time and it will sound O.K/passable if not "decent." You'll lack any depth, but I'd imagine if your improv audition piece is a 12 bar blues they just want to see if you know what music is. (Blues scale is 1, flat 3, 4, flat 5, 5, flat 7 BTW).
Alexander Murphy
damn rom-rom you even had the same filename as when I posted it
Ryan Perez
Just bought my first few pedals
I'm having trouble with my analog delay where if I set repeat up high it starts to fade but then the delay becomes distorted and comes back louder and louder.
Any help would be appreciated
(pic related is most of my gear)
Julian Martin
So I've been playing for awhile now and I'm fairly technically competent but I know next to no scales, chord names, ect. What are some good online sources to help learn these types of things specifically
William Ramirez
Post a clyp.
Gavin Cook
damn bro is that uke
Leo Price
tfw band is doing really good and were starting to gain a bit of traction in our area but tensions are high because of band members arguing about stupid shit.
I should probably just start working on my own stuff incase shit hits the fan.
I don't know if it's just because it's a cheap pedal or what.
Luis Garcia
You have to turn down the amount of repeats. You're getting into infinite feedback which can be cool, but also does that if you're not expecting it.
Brayden Bell
ok yeah i noticed it goes away when repeats are turned down i just didnt think infinite repeats would cause the signal to get louder and louder
Hudson Gray
Tension is normal but it shouldn't derail you. Do you have a bandleader? If you don't, someone needs to step up--there always has to be someone who can be the jerk and keep everyone in line. It's not fun but it's necessary and keeps things together.
Jayden Baker
It happens for all analog delays. You can see it here being manipulated for a neat noise.
What strings would you guys recommend for a GS mini steel string acoustic? I currently have the stock ones on but am well overdue for a string change
Julian Reyes
It's normal. Best thing is to try and sit everyone down and sort it out. If your band doesn't really have a leader (i.e. someone who spearheads the big decisions) try and take that position. In the end it's normal. Happens a lot when you see the same people day in and day out, you end up hating the little quirks and flaws in people.
Leo Ward
Would the Seagull S6 be a good guitar to relearn how to play the guitar on?
