ITT: We turn uneven double albums into consistent single LPs

I just threw this together off the top of my head

1. "Back in the USSR"
2. "Dear Prudence"
3. "Julia"
4. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
5. "Happiness is a Warm Gun"

6. "Helter Skelter"
7. "Blackbird"
8. "Yer Blues"
9. "Long, Long, Long"
10. "I'm So Tired"
11. "Good Night"

I Want You
One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)
Just Like a Woman
Visions of Johanna

Stuck Inside of Mobile
Absolutely Sweet Marie
Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat
4th Time Around
Most Likely You Go Your Way

I got my own for a different album since 2.1 cut some good stuff.

1. Hovi Baby
2. The Watcher 2
3. 03 Bonnie and Clyde
4. Excuse Me Miss
5. What They Gonna Do
6. All Around the World
7. Poppin Tags
8. The Bounce
9. Guns N Roses
10. U Don't Know (Remix)
11. 2 Many Hoes
12. Show You How
13. Bitches and Sisters

just take the first two sides desu

mark of a pleb

>no revolution
>including good night
pretty good though

I can actually get behind this one. Visions of Johanna always felt like a side closer to me

Well if we're talking the single version of Revolution then I'd say that should be the opening, move Julia to side 2 after Long, Long, Long, and remove Good Night.

1. Dramamine
2. Breakthrough
3. Custom Concern
4. Lounge
5. Beach Side Property
6. Ohio
7. Tundra/Desert
8. Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset
9. Make Everyone Happy / Mechanical Birds

I saw the light
It wouldn't have made any difference
Wolfman Jack
Cold morning light
It takes two to tango
Sweeter memories

Intro/breathless
Couldn't I just tell you
Slut
You left me sore
Dust in the wind
Hello its me

Basically just sides 1 and 4

1. "London Calling"
2. "Spanish Bombs"
3. "Lost in the Supermarket"
4. "Clampdown"
5. "Death or Glory"
6. "Revolution Rock"
7. "Lover's Rock"
8. "Brand New Cadillac"
9. "Jimmy Jazz"
10. "Koka Kola"
11. "Train in Vain"

nice. I've always thought that album overstays its welcome, moreso than LCW

Include "Revolution 9" or no deal.

Trust me man, I love it too, but it'd take up like a quarter of the album

>No why don't we do it in the road
>No savoy truffle

C'mon, Why Don't We Do It in the Road is a fun track, but it wouldn't fit in on a single LP. Savoy Truffle, I dunno, maybe it'd fit somewhere in there.

Side A
1. Rocks Off
2. Rip This Joint
3. Casino Boogie
4. Tumbling Dice
5. Torn and Frayed

Side B
1. Sweet Virginia
2. Happy
3. Ventilator Blues
4. Stop Breaking Down
5. Shine A Light

I could probably stick in another of the shorter songs somewhere, but I think this would be a tight little album, a lot more like Sticky Fingers.

1. Daft Punk Is Playing At My House
2. Tribulations
3. Movement
4. Never As Tired As When I'm Waking Up
6. Great Release

7. Losing My Edge
8. Yeah (Crass version)

Probably could do with some re-ordering but I think those are the best tracks.

having I'm so tired followed by goodnight would be godly.

yer blues is shit

yer shit

peking o is fucking amazing though

Side 1

1. Runaways
2. Ball and Chain
3. Senses Working Overtime
4. Jason and the Argonauts
5. All of a Sudden (It's Too Late)

Side 2

6. Melt the Guns
7. No Thugs in Our House
8. Yacht Dance
9. Fly on the Wall
10. Snowman

replace beach side property with novocain stain and this is perfect

Good one

I came here to get triggered by this exact response. Thanks

Red Velvet Wound
Helpless Child
Empathy
The Sound
Volcano
All Lined Up
Animus
Hypogirl
Yrp
The Final Sacrifice

1. Somewhat Damaged
2. The Day The World Went Away
3. The Frail/The Wretched
4.The Fragile
5. La Mer
6. The Great Below
7. Into the Void
8. Where Is Everybody?
9. The Big Come Down
10. Ripe With Decay

perfect

No. This album is fucking perfect as is and how dare you remove Leisure and Knuckle Down.

What does need a reworking is Nonsuch, someone on plebitt came up with a decent tracklisting

Side 1
1. Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead
2. My Bird Performs
3. Dear Madam Barnum
4. War Dance
5. Didn't Hurt A Bit
6. Rook

Side 2

7. Omnibus
8. Then She Appeared
9. The Disappointed (single version)
10. Wrapped In Grey
11. Books Are Burning

>having Lover's Rock and Koka Kola instead of The Card Cheat and Guns of Brixton

Easy, throw everything away except Paul's songs.

I was gonna do this one too. I didn't think of including "Didn't Hurt a Bit", good call there.

Oranges & Lemons could also be trimmed back a bit too.

1. The Garden of Earthly Delights
2. The Mayor of Simpleton
3. King for a Day
4. The Loving
5. Scarecrow People

6. One of the Millions
7. Poor Skeleton Steps Out
8. Across This Antheap
9. Miniature Sun
10. Chalkhills and Children

>throw away Dear Prudence, Happiness is a Warm Gun, I'm So Tired, Julia, and Long, Long, Long

No Pink Thing? Otherwise okay.

i dont think it's possible to make this into a good non-double album

1. Back in the U.S.S.R.
2. Mother Nature’s Son
3. Martha My Dear
4. Wild Honey Pie
5. Blackbird
6. I Will
7. Birthday
8. Rocky Raccoon
9. Why Don’t We Do It in the Road?
10. Honey Pie
11. Helter Skelter

The White Album re-imagined as a Paul solo album

fuck, i forgot Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

Not bad, but I'd replace Torn and Frayed with Loving Cup and Stop Breaking Down with Let It Loose

That album's second disc is just a bunch of singles tho

1. Have One on Me
2. Good Intentions Paving Company
3. Baby Birch
4. In California
5. Go Long
6. Kingfisher
7. Does Not Suffice
You can add Easy, '81, and Jackrabbits if you want a full double album.

1. Reflector
2. We Exist
3. Normal Person
4. Joan Of Arc
5. It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus)
6. Porno
7. Afterlife
8. Supersymmetry

Tough calls. I'd listen to that album too. Torn and Frayed is just an old favorite of mine, and I'm too big of a blues fan to feel good about dropping Stop Breaking Down.
