i love listening to these really early in the morning because no ones out, its calm, and it's pretty dark where i live but i don't want to over play them

Check out Bohren & Der Club of Gore, a dark ambient/doom jazz band. Their work is great for relaxing walks and studying, particularly the album Sunset Mission (Black Earth is darker, Piano Nights is the jazziest).
Man, I've never heard this before, but this guy is awesome! Reminds me of Cliff Martinez's soundtracks for Refn's films (mainly Drive and Neon Demon)
