A bit too "lol look at how indie I am" but I wouldnt call him a pleb. Also Fun House is the superior album.

Just based on The Knack - Get The Knack, Patrician.

definitely patrician. i love this list, there's some great stuff in there
keep in mind this was made before the internet

>Young God is better than Soundtracks For The Blind

No he's not, he's an idiot.

>Swans

is he our guy?

this

>Studio album (double album) by Swans
Released 22 October 1996
>Died April 5, 1994 (aged 27)
Seattle, Washington, U.S.

>no mention of Meat Puppets
>half of Unplugged is a Meat Puppets cover album

u wot m9

>On March 18, 1994, Love phoned the Seattle police informing them that Cobain was suicidal and had locked himself in a room with a gun. Police arrived and confiscated several guns and a bottle of pills from Cobain, who insisted that he was not suicidal and had locked himself in the room to hide from Love

Why didn't we listen to him, Sup Forums?

You're a moron. Kurt died in 2004

so did he like Swans unironically?

Lets see the facts

illuminati killed kurt gobang

...

Damn...

That's the band's list of favorite albums, not just his.

>implying Kurt wasn't the entire band

oh

What's Euronymous's top 50 albums?

reall makes you thin,

Why is everyone so surprised here? All Sup Forums fags should have that date cemented into their head

fucking this, he had to look for those albums in small stores in washington or get them from friends-of-friends.

There is nothing patrician about listening to music especially rock out of all genres. If you're asking if he had good taste then the answer is yes, solely because it is unique even though some of them are shit albums like meet the beatles lmfao.

Fucking pleb. Animal Collective not mentioned even once. This fag should kill himself.

lol

as a listener, pleb
as a musician, patric...hahaha just kidding, also pleb

xDD ebin post my dude

He's pleb, especially in retrospect...however, he does need some credit for bringing attention to some of these gems in a world before the Internet

But for The Raincoats and Scratch Acid alone, I give him some credit

Bleach and In Utero are patrician

I can't tell if this is ironic shitposting.

not him, but In Utero is a sonically incredible album. Albini did wonders for making their sound more grimy. Songs like Milk It and Tourettes are a great mix on punk and grunge.

the Albini mix is even better

just go listen to the Albini mix of Heart Shaped Box

i forget that you guys are generally so young and used to pirating music that you don't remember the home taping days

you'd hear about shit for ages and then finally get a dubbed copy of a dubbed copy of a dubbed copy....only way to hear lots of the shit on that list at that point

i say patrician, if for no other reason than that shaggs lp

Young God is their best album though

Eh... you know, there's some good music on this list but it's all very much in spite of himself. There's a very persistent theme to all of it, which is largely non-musical. It's very much focused on attitude.

You could post this next time OP

he had a K records tattoo so he was cool imo

i like some of the stuff there: stooges, pixies, scratch acid, black flag, gang of four, young marble giants, r.e.m. (wrong record), beat happening (wrong record), etc.

k records is not cool desu. some good stuff released but calvin johnson is a complete knob. I can see it from my house tho :^)

at that time there were LOTS of independent radios,

doesn't have any death grips 2/10

Considering that he didn't have access to the internet back then he was somewhat limited in how patrician he could be.
Decent list though.

so is Nevermind you contrarian

>k records is not cool desu
why not
>calvin johnson is a complete knob
why

just wanna know

it has She Hangs Brightly therefore patrician to the core

>A bit too "lol look at how indie I am"

you are saying this about a guy who literally started a whole new genre of music that was so culturally huge in the mainstream that it altered the zeitgeist.

how you guys try hard sometimes.

I've literally only heard like 4 of these lmfao
> The Frogs - It's Only Right and Natural
> Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
> Public Image, Ltd. - Flowers of Romance
> David Bowie - The Man who sold the world

why people come to this place for opinions I'll never know

you're the pleb here

>David Bowie, “The Man Who Sold the World”
>Not Diamond Dogs

kys faggot

I think a lot would change if he had a different voice, but still one able to sing well. Idk, he could go by on lyrics alone, but I feel like his singing voice is too "hey I'm edgy as fuck".

Dude had a really good taste in rock for sure

would kurt have liked kanye? which kanye album/song would he like if he did?

I think that pic just shows Sup Forums trying too hard to go against the music snob idea that classic rock is flawless and pop sucks.

It was in his personal journal

>InAfter "He didn't like an album that arrived after his death"

>No TAD listed
>obviously copied multiple riffs of theirs
He did a fine job covering his tracks

...

...

sorry I don't think a bunch of incredibly similar loud rock bands are worth sorting through

I have half a century of jazz and funk to get me by

P.S. if you haven't heard that Frogs album get on it, its hysterical
