I'm sure we can all agree that either this or Bruce Springsteen's "The River" is the greatest mainstream double album to ever exist?

To be fair Mellon Collie is fucking great when you are like 13 and looking for something a bit different from green day tier bands.
What are the best tracks on the album?
I've always found smashing pumpkins to sound like every other late 90's-early 2000's alt rock band but I'm open to new experiences.
lmaooo funny boy

The whole thing is pretty fun, bit bloated in parts but it's amazing to think a band made this at the peak of their powers and released it. Lots of amazing tones and recording techniques.
Best tracks depend on what you're into but these were my personal faves:
Tonight, Tonight
Jellybelly
Thru the Eyes of Ruby
1979
Stumbleine
We Only Come Out at Night
Thanks user.
Gonna give them a try tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll find something I like.
No worries, I hope you find something you like too. Corgan's voice and lyrics can be offputting, but the guitar work, drumming, arrangements and layering on this album are really special in my opinion.
