they're trying to achieve totally different things fuck off
the fact that people compare these two bands is retarded
bump
Last couple minutes of "In rural virginia; watching glowing lights crawl from the dark corners of the room" are terrifying high.
>everyone knows that you...are...fucked up
olivia tremor control is unbelievable
they're the kinks and nmh is the beatles with Scott playing the role of Ringo
The entire Silver disc fucked me up.
from this album
I saw your future in my sleep...
>all of Don, Aman
>how the drums get so heavy on "Forest Gospel" that it practically destroys the mic with distortion
Probably the greatest song about social anxiety made
Hard mode: unintentionally creepy
>you know, there really is no dark side of the moon, matter of fact it's all dark
The track Baby
>The samples of peoples cries of agony during Bros
seriously wtf was that about
YES! What the hell was that?!
fuck outta here
you're right nmh is trying to make music where as the microphones are trying to be nmh
Gotta agree with you there
>hey man whats the problem
This
Julian is the all time goat of E6
I really like OTC, but behind all the musique concrete stuff, the songwriting still has that really obvious Beatles influence that plagues a lot of OTC groups. If anybody competed with The Music Tapes it'd be Circulatory System in my opinion
>Panda's animal moaning sounds on Lablakely Dress
poledo
you act as if you've never listened to Weed Forestin
the vocal noses before that
I have an example of the exact opposite scenario. What's the deal with that out of place happy movement that lasts from about 14:30 to 16:27 on The Dead Flag Blues? The whole album is a dark, bleak, depressing soundscape and all of a sudden HEY GUYS WELCOME TO MY YOUTUBE TUTORIAL music.
Even the apocalypse has its good moments.
we are-
Really-
OH-
GAAAAAAAAAAAAH
No way man, I love that part. It sounds like a festival on the dock of a port town, not like a youtube tutorial intro. I think it's a good juxtaposition with the bleakness of the rest of the album.
Apocalypse commune celebrates Christmas.

It spooked the fuck out of me on my first listen. Especially when I was really relaxing into it.
Well, I was doing other stuff.
So maybe that changed it.
>that part in Sonderangebot
You know the one.
yeah if I wasn't fully immersed in it it wouldn't have shaken me so much
