50%

Either they do or they dont

That's wrong

Nigro, you have a 4% chance of each watch being faulty.
So for the ten they select to be all good, it's 96^10, provided they pick all 10 watches at once.
If they select them one at a time, you are going to have a 42/50 x 41/49 x 40/48 etc

50/8= 6.25

1/6.25 watches is defetive
10/6.25=1.6 defective watches per batch

8/50 equals 16% odds that they pick one.

Multiply by .16 to get odds they pick two.

Odds they pick two are, 2.56%

which means that every 10 they sample, the probability is 1.6 per 10 that are defective. But after that, I dont know because i haven't take probstat in forever

...

My bad, it's 16%. Fucking idiot.

wat

Nope its 16% for them to pic one.

2.56% for them to pic two.

If you punch .96^9*.04 into a calculator it should work out. This is a geometric distribution problem, grade 12 level probability.

Its two things 1.the manager picks a specific pack of 10 from the 50
2. The manager picks a bad one from the 10

First one is simple 1/5 = 20%
Second one is 8/50 = 16% therefore 16% of 10 is 1.6 rounded off to 2.
So chance of the manager picking a bad one from the 10 is 2/10 also 20%
.2 * .2 = .04 or 4%

All of you are wrong

Also this is a newly generated problem because I got the last one wrong.

I'll post the guideline on how to do the problem

There is an 8 in 50 chance of getting a defective watch. Do the math for percentage

They're not per pack, you rtard
