What will trump's election mean for music?

What will trump's election mean for music?

awful anti trump songs
awful pro trump songs

Theory/wish: Music gets really really good, sequel to punk and full realization of anticonsumerist conscious ideals
Reality: There's a new Gorillaz album, so that's all i can guarantee will be good.

what a disgusting pleb bpost

>essential alt right music
>immortal technique
immortal technique is a socialist

it's clearly a b8 chart

this is the funniest thing i have seen in a long time

My assumption is rap albums are gonna be flyig out and they're gonna be really angry, and punk will make a small underground comeback, and bands like SOAD will be popular again, nu-metal round 2 and the like

Musicians can sing about how inmigrants kill or destroy their families without fear. :)

Why don't people try to make at least a somewhat genuine effort when it comes to b8 charts? I mean musicians like John Maus for example are outspoken far-leftists. Try to go with the less obvious ones next time. That'll get people wondering.

Rerise of cringy political punk and even more cringe verses from Killer Mike

Why don't people try to make at least a somewhat genuine effort when it comes to b8 posts? etc

A bunch of shitty pro-America country and washed up rocker music.

A bunch of shitty punk, rap, and alternative music slamming Trump.

what a pleb

There won't be another punk. Leftism is the status quo, it's the most safe and unrebellious as you can get. In modern liberal society, people really lack any moral grounding. Anything goes. Which is why the new conservativism will be culturally important.

I expect to see a genuine movement away from irony, artifice, and postmodernism. Trump supporters are romantics. They see a takeover of our society by globalists and Jews, but are idealistic that it can be fixed by the democratic process. This idealism and new faith in unfashionable conservative values will probably lead to a cultural trend away from the nihilism of contemporary art to a neo-Romantic faith in concepts like beauty, rebellion, and art. It will explicitly reject experimentalism and the scant-garde for being anti-humanistic.

Think of it. There are lots of bright young teens and young adults on Sup Forums. A lot of these people will grow up with these attitudes and it will rub off on their thought and art.

Thanks for the depression.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I think the people who make low brow pap will continue to make low brow pap and the people who make post-avant jazzcore will continue to make post-avant jazzcore.
These artists will continue to inspire people who are receptive to the work being made and the cycle will continue

New punk amd it seems going to be great

>Animal Collective - FloriDada

Oh I am laffin

SOAD just announced a new album like 2 days ago lmao

>There are lots of bright young teens and young adults on /pol

I'm hoping for some kind of musical renaissance. Music has potential to define the next decade of social progress.
