What's your budget?

What's your budget, fucker? WE NEED MORE INFORMATION BEFORE WE CAN GIVE YOU A RECOMMENDATION!

Girl on the right has good tits

300 - 400 burger tokens

Gtx 1070

wait rx 480 benchmarks

Why? It will not even be close to nvidia

>690252352

Wait for the initial wave of excitement over the new cards to subside... prices will drop...

2 cards beat nvidia on everything but singlecard performance. budget included in the "beat everything" part

sauce?

Feminist porn??

can someone confirm

Ask after 29 June, RX480 and other will be out.

i cant cause im an AMD fanboy. they claimed it and i believe it. hey atleast im honest about being a fanboy ^^

even on tdp?
AMD is well know for be a George Foreman grill
wasting energy like there's no tomorrow

2 cards a rarely worth it in gaming, especially since the compatibility wildly varies between games.

I'd wait until the new AMD card comes out before making a choice, but If you hold me at gunpoint I'd say a 1070.

>wasting
they claimed to have improved that a whole lot since they switched to 14 nm finfet

>they claimed

well after being bulldozered with an fx 6100 im a bit salty about AMD's claims... bought an fx8370 to survive till the 2nd gen Zen, my r9 280x could be able to hold it. i have an unstable win7 install tho, and i might have killed my MOBO overclocking the last CPU. wasnt aware of the risks of running an overclock 24/7

Not something to brag about

also check this out i have this ancient piece of garbage cpu 'i5-2500k' - should i upgrade that too? i cant even get playable frames in doom 3 ultra

i meant the newest doom not doom 3 lol

Wonder whether I should buy a 1080 at the end of the month or wait out till Titan/Ti comes out.

Single card man only, have the money to throw away but don't really wanna buy one card after the other.

>playing on pc
>having to update your graphics card every year just to play new games

ISHYGDDT

Ti4600

i dont trust this greedy ass companies
after all that 3.5 0.5 gb vram nvidia did

and amd always lying about everything

not bragging, just being honest that im all for AMD before they launched. i can only reply salty if nvidia actually performs better, nothing to brag about indeed

>>playing on pc
>>choosing to update your graphics card every 4 years just to play new games on settings that look/run infinitely better than consoles

ps4.5
xbox 1's

Don't buy a video card, make a car payment you degenerate.

i can both of them and not starve to death

not always, they just misinformed everyone about the bulldozer architecture and the cluster thread thingy was obsolete as soon as they launched it. they had some marketing bloke as CEO, now they needed 5 years to recover from the faildoser incident... im hoping for an affordable 16 core (with proper software to utelise that, but 8core is hard enough to code for appearantly..).

My condolences on not owning a car yet, faggot.

>infinitely better than consoles
Lol ok. Explain Uncharted 4

It's not on pc

Yet looks better than anything on PC to date.

what do you mean code for? Surely the operatng systems do that already?

>Thinking Uncharted 4 is the pinnacle of graphics technology

This is bait right?

That's arguable
And at 30FPS.

2007's Crysis on PC looks better than most "modern" console games.

There are games from 3 years ago that look substantially better than U4, you just play them on hardware that was substandard half a decade ago.

What this cuck said. I'm saving up for one

quadcore cpu s have been the minimum for gaming for about 3 years now, yet only some games utelise that many cores TODAY. somewhere in all the different layers of codes and stuff something seems to be pretty hard about more than 2 cores for games... and im on windows 7, wich doesnt utelise every bit of octacore i ve got right now either.

...

"Muh, it's cinematic tho"

What the fuck do u need 16 cores for. I have 6 and games don't touch more than 10-15 percent of my cpu

damn nigga that hurts
and i dont even have a ps4

sauce???

Do you guys think titans or other good shit will drop below $300 once the 1070's and 80's start filling the market?

yeah it will
but why would you buy a titan?
1070 is better than this outdated overpriced vga
in any aspect you can think.

below $300?

I just found an evga gtx 980 for 500$. I dont even need a video card and i thought about it. So thats what you should get

Im running some old Radeon junk right now. Anything would be lightyears better than what i have. If a new titan is half the price of a 1070 I might just get that

promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/June-0-2016/EXPRESS-redcode_18/index-landing.html?utm_medium=Email&utm_source=EXPRESS061816&cm_mmc=EMC-EXPRESS061816-_-EMC-061816-Index-_-E0A-_-Item1&et_cid=27304&et_rid=15997989&et_p1&email64=Sm9zZXBoZmljaG5lckB5YWhvby5jb20=
reasonably powerful great cost.

When is the new amd card coming out?

start with gtx 1080 and go lower in price until you can afford it without any regret for your money

the price will drop but not below 300

this news doesnt cite the titan but it will get a price cut.

videocardz.com/61116/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-gtx-980-and-gtx-970-receive-a-price-cut

>what I just bought
> $70

i bet you cant even play a 4k video.]
>can you?

No prolly not lol rn my computer has integrated graphics.

Wait for the ti, even if you don't pick it up. It'll be out in November for the same price as the 1080 maybe $50 more. The 1080 will drop to about $500. All for Holiday season

gtx 950 was just on sale for 100, you paid way too much

this probably the best thing to do
but you dont know how anxiety works

still is w/ rebate

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?sdtid=8836311&SID=a7154ace357b11e69e4f46c0b895752d0INT&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16814487157&cm_sp=

Agreed. If only they actually made PC games anymore. Consoles handicap games for the same of cross platform accessibility. AKA $$$

No I do, been wanting 1080 since my 6700k. But it's nice out here, so I won't be gaming much until fall anyway. Also, the ti should be able to handle 4k. gp102 should be significantly better, and might have HBM2. They planned it for 10xx cards, but had to fall back to GDDR5 because of cost and low production.

>4k
1080 pretty much can handle 4k dont achieve 60fps all the time but that thing is a ferocious beast

S3 Virge

Indeed, what this faggot said. Don't go for sli/crossfire, it's veeery rarely worth it and for many games it gives you no performance increase and some games it even decreases performance, you'd be better off with a single, more expensive, card.

Don't buy shit for the next 2 months. Let the 10xx series saturate the market and the new AMD cards to hit. Should drop prices nicely.

Yeah, well if I'm going to drop $700 on a card, I'm not going to settle for "pretty much". The ti should be about 30% more powerful and it'll have more (maybe significantly faster) RAM for the same price. Just a few months to wait.

honestly if their stock price keeps going the way it is now, you guys can just put the money in their stock, and by November they'll have bought the card for you.

NVDA is up 40% in the last 3 months, and 115% in the last year.

console fags btfo

For those multi-monitor setups, AMD falls behind like a fat kid in a race.

AT LEAST CONSOLE GAMING ISN'T GETTING W10'S COCK SHOVED IN IT'S THROAT

Why are you yelling? And why even in gpu thread, console guy?

gtx 970

970 is a good card but doesn't worth +$280 nowadays

sauce on pic?

sauce?

Do you really believe people have to upgrade their cards every year?

it's only like once every 4 years that a game comes out that wants a better card, and even then, it'll still run because PC games support different graphics settings

and it's been slowing down since 2010. we're almost starting to hit the upper limit of what your typical GPU/CPU can push out, and devs can hardly put out enough detail to catch up with the hardware (usually because they're simultaneously developing for consoles and care about sales).

unless you're running a 4k 120+fps rig or the game is really poorly optimized, you'd be hard pressed to find a game that currently only runs on top-of-the-line cards

Amd: fps per dollar cost effective for low budget
Nvidia: performance
