I go to art exhibitions

Comics
/tg/ stuff
Basketball
Porn

Vidya to lesser extent. I'm getting bored with it 3bh, but still looking forward to Persona 5.

literature
films
sports
fitness
porn
fashion
gender issues

it's been a fun couple of months learning tumblr lingo and turning it against them with some Sup Forums tactics

comics and novels and sports, I try to keep up with new movies but I don't really actively do that unless it's directed by hong sang-soo or the other few modern directors I care about

I read a lot. Especially a lot of forgotten missives, magazines, and newspapers from time periods we mostly don't think about. Like, I recently found a 4 page article in an old Rotarian (Rotary club magazine) from the 50s where the author reflects on the industrialization of the small American farm.

Sounds boring, but I love that stuff. Reflective pieces from bygone eras. One of my favorite lines in literature comes from the preface to the Passion of Saint Perpetua which goes

"Perhaps these later stories may someday become ancient history, indispensable for those who are our successors, even though in our day they are accorded less authority out of some prejudicial deference to antiquity."

This was written around 203 AD.

I also study local history. I live in the lower Hudson Valley in NY, so it's one of the oldest European colonized places in the US. Lots of old stories that they never taught us in school.

not much other than video games

I feel like I should do more (and just generally have more interests) but idk what

where do u find this stuff?
sounds cool

i wish i could go back to video games but carpel tunnel and having sex/getting a gf ruined my relationship with video games. just seems like im wasting time in a fake world leveling up a character. instead of leveling up myself in the real world

Sounds fascinating. I'm interested in old Men's Adventure and pulp magazines. Mid-century pop culture in general I guess.

Goddamn. It never ceases to amaze me how insightful we've always been when it comes to our natures and failings.

I spend most of my time reading websites made by genuine schizophrenics.

>just seems like im wasting time in a fake world leveling up a character. instead of leveling up myself in the real world
I kinda feel like that, but then I think "uh what should I do instead"
since I dont have any interests or anything like that so I just don't know what else to do

man persona 5 is going to be so good. meguro has apparentally done a full acid jazz-soundtrack for it this time (with less emphasis on the - arguably really good - jpop of last two personas) so it's going to be pretty patrician

Nice. The Persona OSTs have always been great. I still put on the dormitory track from 3 for maximum comfort

yeah i feel you. I sometimes regret stopping because feeding the escapism with other shit is depressing at times. because leveling up in the real world is has the worst exp and drop rates.
lots of my friends who still game are trying to break into e-sports with streaming but they lack the personality

Generally, I use Wikipedia (especially the category function), Project Gutenberg, Archive.org, and Google Books

You can find a lot of stuff that way. Usually I use Wiki to find time periods or types of books, or authors, etc. And then I use Google Books and Archive to get them, but you can also find really cool things on Gutenberg as well.

Nice! Believe it or not, I do that as well. Just left it out because I didn't want to write an entire page on myself. I actually still get copies of Analog here and there.

Gutenberg is fantastic for that stuff though. One of my favorites is The Girl in the Golden Atom by Ray Cummings. The ending isn't the best, but the world building is very VERY cool.

Good to know. I've always liked Gutenberg and Archive.org (which low-key has a lot of old softcore porn mags, Men's Mags and stag reels). I'll be sure to delve deeper there.

Men's mags are pretty fun stuff

I have a Rugged Men's mag (of WEASELS RIPPED MY FLESH fame) I got from an antique store. Inside, there's a story by a woman who claimed to be raped by Ernst Röhm and who killed like 3 women in some Nazi harem to have the baby after the Night of the Long Knives to scare Hitler with it as an omen of the Reich collapsing.

Art, cycling, reading, film, rugby.

Sauce?

Damn, that's hardcore.

I'm a professional writer, and I've written and posted a few fapfics on /aco/ and /d/. I'd like to write in the pulp/Men's adventure style, but I'm a horrible procrastinator and I work full-time. It's definitely one of my creative goals.

I've been getting my gaming on, playing Forza 3 often, want to start Minecraft, I've just been fucking around with the creative mode though.
Also been watching a ton of Dragonball, started from the beginning, gonna watch everything including movies and GT n shit

Oh man I wish you the best of luck. I can't write sex to save my own life

Like 6 years ago I got roped into a project where I was going to be writing scenarios for a sex game that an IRL friend was doing for /d/. It was supposed to be Corruption of Champions but you flew to different planets. A week into the project Fenoxo announced Trials in Tainted Space and we were dead in the water. Not like it would have come to fruition anyway to be honest.

Writing sex is pretty damn hard. I'm still working on my first "commission" and haven't even gotten to the thick of it yet. It's pretty much all teasing. The user who requested it loves it so far, so I'm on the right track.

I'm only writing porn because I can't draw. If I could, I'd go balls-deep in the Rule 34 game. But I can write, and I believe in making use of one's talent. And also because there's so little goddamn erotica out there that caters to my kinks.

>Dragonball

Sounds fun. Reminds me that I need to rewatch G Gundam. That shit on Toonami was my jam when I was 11.

My favorite medium has always been live action film above all else.

Then music, vidya and weebshit in descending order.
I wanna get into literature too, but at the moment, I just can't spare the time.
