No.

Revolver
Dark Side of The Moon
Thriller
Jagged Little Pill
Kid A
MBDTF is correct though

>"He doesn't like Kid A"

Nah, Kid A is a solid 7, but it's overrated as fuck.

One of the best selling albums of the decade

Agreed on all of them, there may be more deserving albums but they're all up there.

MBDTF will stand the test of time and be the overrated album of the 2010's for all time

how come all these albums were released in the very beginning of their respective decade? #staywoke

Highway 61 revisited and Remain in light are not overrated

Yeezus is going to be perennially underrated in mainstream consciousness

are you miserable?

"no"

Led Zep is the biggest offender on the list.
grunge is a trash genre for the most part, but agreed that nevermind is bad
is this it is pretty good, most overrated is a stretch. Kinda carried on the back of some amazing singles, though.
MBDTF is pretty great but the second half is alot worse than the first. Lost in the World makes up for it, though.
Talking Heads is okay, not really music i care about though.
Dylan's streak from bringing it all back home to blonde on blonde is amazing, but most of his discography really pales in comparison. To call it the most overrated is almost objectively wrong, though. Would agree if you posted something pre-bringing it all back home

>1966
>very beginning

DSOTM is more overrated than LZ IV
Oh wow

the only judgment that user passed was that those albums were not the most overrated of their decades

Except they are?

Most overrated of the 60s is easily Odessey and Oracle

Seems like most people here think Nevermind is very overrated.. I think it's a very good album for the genre. Any particular reason people think it's so overrated? Also add Spiderland to that.

Are You Experienced
DSOTM
Disintegration
Nevermind
Skinny Fists
To Be Kind

/truth

>To Be Kind
kys

only if you are a contrarian teenager

>Revolver
>Dark Side of The Moon
>Thriller
>Jagged Little Pill
All great albums.

>Kid A
Agree, Kid A is shit.

it is

elevator music wanky prog bullshit

no fucking clue why anyone likes it

if only syd hadn't gone mental what they could've become

>Disintegration

>overrated

>not the very best album of the 80's releasing at the tail end of the decade blowing everything the fuck out

kill yourself

Are we going by Sup Forums taste or just the general public's taste? because by Sup Forums taste the most overrated albums are

60s - TVU&N
70s - Faust s/t
80s - Probably an album by The Smiths or some shit
90s - Loveless
00s - Kid A
10s - Lonerism

>Lonerism
>not Have One on Me or Carrie & Lowell

the first two are not overrated, especially highway 61

It's a pretty good pop rock album, but nothing more, Dirt and Superunknown are much better grunge albums

>Newsom and Stevens
fuck, how could I forget those, Lonerism is still overrated though.

both much better than lonerism

2000s should be Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

60s: No (Every single beatles album)
70s: Dear god yes
80s: Closer
90s: I mean, maybe in the general populace...I'd say loveless
00s: Funeral
10s: Good kid maad city

Is Sup Forumss fav Impala album really Lonerism?

Because Innerspeaker is factually their best thing they've made

>Closer
>Loveless
>Funeral
No, all hese are 10/10

Is This It is not overrated at all, it's perfectly rated. It's a 9/10 and one of the best alt rock albums ever. Nobody has ever said it's an unparalleled masterpiece like they have with the other 5 albums. Is This It doesn't belong there because it's never been praised that much, Hot Fuss would make more sense in that spot.

>not liking Is This It
What a bunch of plebs.

Also, the correct list is

60s: TVUN
70s: Exile on Main Street
80s: Thriller
90s: Nevermind
00s: MMLP
10s: TPAB

>liking second rate Stooges and Television

Doing my own based on RYM - first shit album IMHO from each decades chart

1960s: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
I like much of the 60's chart, the first Led Zeppelin album has no right being so high on the list. It isn't a very good Led Zeppelin album, much less a top 15 album of the decade in general.

1970s: Television - Marquee Moon
How this is so highly regarded, I have no idea. It's not bad, but not very good.

1980s: Metallica - Ride the Lightning
No shortage of stuff I find overrated here.

1990s: Neutral Milk Hotel - ITAOTS
Hipster sea shanties.

2000s: Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
The hip hop isn't really my thing, but this one just isn't good IMHO.

2010s: Kanye - Twisted Fantasy
I have absolutely no idea why this is so well liked. It has almost no appeal for me.

Music is subjective.

There's too much glorified awful music from the 60s to just include one record here.

Worst post ITT

>10's
>To Be Kind
But that's the best album of the decade

>any of these albums besides Human Story 3
>bad
FUCK YOU

I'm getting real tired of the constant dick measuring on here but there's no where else to go for music discussion

>dislikes TVUN
>defends Is This IT

no
yes
yes
yes
no
no

TVUN is literally babbys first experimental rock record. It's the kind of album plebs listen to to try and convince themselves they're patrician.

>1965, music begins

so? It's still a masterpiece. Do you like music based on its popularity?

>most infulential alternative rock album
>babbys first experimental rock record

kys

>highway 61
not even close
>led zeppelin
yeah
>remain in light
far from true
>nevermind
yes
>is this it
overrated, but not the most overrated of the 2000s
>mbdtf
overrated, but not the most overrated of this generation

Remain in Light isn't even the best Talking Heads album.

Where's Daydream Nation

actually retarded

Are you serious

Thanks for proving my point I guess?

...

That you have shit taste? You're welcome

No, that you physically cannot think for yourself without this board's help. Admitting is the first step user.

>Bob Dylan sucks.
>Zeppelin is immensely overrated and Robert Plant is an awful singer.
>Remain in Light is excellent. Not overrated, especially when compared to their contemporaries.
>Nevermind is still a very good album. Slightly overrated amongst radio rock fans.
>Is This It is in the same category as Nevermind. Still a great album (not the best Strokes album though)
>Kanye West sucks.

60s - Revolver or Pet Sounds
70s - DSOTM
80s - Queen is Dead
90s - Nevermind
00s - Turn on the Bright Lights
10s - MBDTF

60s - Revolver
70s - DSOTM
80s - Master of Puppets
90s - 36 Chambers
00s - Funeral
10s - MBDTF

>Robert Plant is an awful singer
Fuck you

The actual answers:

>1960s
The Velvet Underground - TVU&Nico
>1970s
Led Zeppelin - IV
>1980s
AC/DC - Back In Black
>1990s
Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory
>2000s
Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
>2010s (so far)
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

>Bob Dylan sucks
>Is This It and Nevermind are great
You have to go back

He is though. Page, Jones, and Bonham were awesome. Plant ruins their music. If Freddie Mercury or Geddy Lee sang for Zeppelin, they'd be infinitely more enjoyable.

>Teenage Dream
>overrated

I was about to ask why ItCotCK wasn't in 60s, but then I remembered that it's unironically a flawless album. Carry on.

>Geddy Lee
>better than Plant
This is some shit tier opinion

What would you recommend? I just finished it and loved it.

Please. I don't even like Katy Perry that much, but she was waaaaay better before that album.

Geddy sings at the same register, but can actually hold a note.

Not him but that's a pretty shortsighted choice for most overrated of the decade. Commercially successful sure but no publication mentions katy perry in best of lists

>1980s
AC/DC - Back In Black
>1990s
Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory
>2000s
Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
>2010s (so far)
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

These aren't overrated because people who don't care about music don't rate music.

Have you guys even listened to LZ IV?

It's so far "this decade's Thriller", but there were only two OKAY songs on the whole thing (Last Friday Night and Hummingbird Heartbeat). The rest of the album was hot garbage. Every song on that album undeservedly became a single.

actually all of those are great albums. have fun with your edgy "le Sup Forums patrician" and go back to listening to an air conditioning unit for fun. :^)

One of Zeppelin's worst albums.

It's too frontloaded apart from last track

Talking heads, bob dylan and the strokes shouldn't be there. Replace Dylan with a Beatle's record, talking heads with any other album of that decade, and there were no overrated artists in the early 2000s besides Eminem and some nu metal bands.

>The Beatles had an overrated album at some point in their career

I agree with you for the most part, except for
>there were no overrated artists in the early 2000s besides Eminem and some nu metal bands.
What is "almost the entirety of indie rock"?

Speaking In Tongues is my favorite, followed by Fear of Music, and then Remain in Light. Their entire discography is really solid, doesn't start to get iffy until their last two albums.

Liking Is This It is one of the calling cards of neo-Sup Forums. Terrible terrible record

Why does everyone over hype Highway 61 Revisited so much? It's bookended by better Dylan albums

Not liking Is This It is only a sign of being underraged or mentally challenged.

>muh like a rolling stone
>muh desolation row

Maybe because it changed the face of rock music

That's great. I was worried that they'd be one of those bands that peaked with one or two albums. Glad to see they're consistent, quality-wise.

SOLID 7
HOLY FUCK
Not even you believe that bullshit man

who are you quoting?
