First open the jar and stick at least one finger in
Then start with the first record you autist fuck

listen to in the city again and again and again

Start out by listening to the first two Who albums pre Ogden Nut Flake era Small Faces pre Reservation Green Kinks and Revolver by The Beatles. If you are into any or all the music I've listed then you are more than likely a Jam fan.

Now however if you want to listen to The Style Council..........

Don't bother genuinely

Strawberry is pretty entry level.

oh so you gotta kind of be on board with the whole smug British culture thing

Skip the first two albums and then start listening

One of my favorite bands.

The first album is a solid raw punk album. The second album is by far their worst. Suffers from the classic second album slump, rushed out album of weak material due to a hectic touring schedule. The streak after that is when they're GOAT:

>All Mod Cons
>Setting Sons
>Sound Affects

These three records and the singles in between are ESSENTIAL.

I have never understood the hate towards The Style Council: their debut is as good as the Jam but with more northern soul influences

They're not even close to The Jam. Their music has aged like dog shit and embodies all of the worst of 80's sterile limp white disco funk "world music."

this is the correct answer

All Mod Cons (1978)
Setting Sons (1979)
Sound Affects (1980)
The Gift (1982)

these are all great albums, first two are meh and they hadn't developed an iconic sound
setting sons is my fav

meh some similarities (that's not even disco nor funk btw)

>tfw the girl on the phone keeps on ringin back

The bridge / break in this song is amazing. I really wish I could meet people who want to play music like this

First you need to Cmon and slam

this shit is fucking horrid

paul weller shouldve killed himself for this crap

Well, depends on what kind of music you like.
Punk? In the City.
Mod? All Mod Cons.
Though personally I'd recommend Setting Sons the most, their best album imo.

Setting Sons > Sound Affects > The Gift > All Mod Cons > In the City > The Modern World

Great song imo
