Why is the 24th fugue of WTC so perfect?

twitter.com/FernBri

Any other composers with Twitter accounts?

wat

Comment

I've listened yesterday for the first time to Beethoven's Grosse Fugue.
Why do people classify it as hard to listen? If anything as a listener in 2016 it was his most accessible string quartet

>tfw politicians are still not using Beethoven's Emperor Concerto to celebrate any sort of victory

Post classic (hahaha) /classical/ memes

Well this is the weirdest thing I've seen today.

Can you possibly be more hip?

>Beethoven's Emperor Concerto

I truly love the piano parts, but the orchestrated ones always sounded shallow to me. Am I the only one?

Who's that Harry Potter looking motherfucker? I don't recognize him.

You mean Shostakovich?

Yep. Never seen a picture of him, sorta imagined he'd look more like Wagner.

Why is that?

Any [...]Variations...

You can't not have Ravel or Debussy whilst having Saint-Saëns.

Twilightcore is not the same as firetruck music you moron.

Twilight?

Extremely effeminate homosexual music only enjoyed by low testosterone homosexuals and teenage girls, such as Plebussy.

Right. Any real critique though?

grobschmied variations by Handel,
Kunst der Fuge and Wohltemperiertes Klavier by Bach

nice bait

>tfw listen to Beethoven for the first time when I was 14
>tfw it doesn't get better than that

Jesus Christ, why the fuck did my piano teacher raise the bar so high that early? It kinda ruined the rest of music for me.

Anyone else had the same experience?

What do you even mean?

Schoenberg was such a shit painter

Got damn

That when I was 14 I had already listened to the best music out there, and nothing so far has topped that.
It kinda spoiled the whole experience.

If your taste haven't developed beyond absolutes since you were 14, then I pity you.

DUDE MOZART, BACH, AND BEETHOVEN ARE ALL YOU NEED LMAO

>tfw it doesn't get better than that
>memehoven
>the best music out there

FURTHER PROOF

Hi Richard.

Name 1 (One) good atonal piece

Good according to what criteria?

But you just described Mozart as well

incorrect, Mozart is for virile young men who aren't sad autistic pussies that mope in their bedrooms.

Also enjoyed by notorious woman-beater Tallis, and as we all know, beating women is extremely low inhibition and high T behavior.

Mozart is for autistic kids who moves a lot and make retarded faces when playing piano

This is a pleb question

>Glazunov
stop

Mozart is essential femme core as well as Chopin,

Essential Man core is

Beethoven, Ives, Schoenberg, Stravinsky, Gesualdo, Bach, and Stockhausen

Mozart is for pussies

Also

>Tallis
>not a giant faggot

Reply

>Essential Man core is
More like essential closet-core amirite?

>Mozart is essential femme core

What genius didn't want to touch a penis in their lives?

Soft and frilly, nothing like Wagner or Schoenberg

>What genius didn't want to touch a penis in their lives?
Vivaldi

String Trio
youtube.com/watch?v=HUh_MYu69t4

>tfw nobody cared about Vivaldi until the early 19th century

Fuck, sometime I forget that most of my favourite composer were not famous in their days. I mean, Vivaldi composed so much beautiful music and he still died anonymous. I wonder about how he felt in his last days? Did he see his whole life as a failure? Was he ready to be soon forgotten?

This gives me hope that maybe I can learn composition and, even if I die unsuccessful in obscurity, maybe someday kids will be listening to it.

>calls Mozart "femme core"
>Schoenberg
Schoenberg would call you a massive faggot.

I'm in love with Mendelssohn string quartet played by Melos Quartet and i will PayPal 5$ to anyone who can provide me a working link to download this album in flac

As if being called a faggot by /classical/'s cuck king even means anything

>calls him "man core"
>is now "/classical/'s cuck king"
pls go and stay go

Good taste my friend, good taste.

>Vivaldi
>died anonymous
Are you a fucking pleb? He was perhaps the single most popular composer of the 18th century. Like the gods of Ancient Greece he simply slipped away unto the Night of the Worlds until he would be discovered again.

Cereal music is garbage and you should know better. Don't waste your time listening to this modern jewish shit when you have the works of Mozart. Every second you spend listening to atonal music could be spent listening to the greatest music ever composed, that is, that of Mozart, the only composer to have so thoroughly synthetized the chthonian passions of music with the galenian charm of appearance. Being able to resist to the impulse of drama and raw primal forces and channel this energy into pure dramatized expression takes so much strength and will, that even Beethoven no longer was able to do so, and abandoned the attempt at a clear sonata form, instead stretching the basic ideas that Mozart could simply state into large-scale developments who ultimately destroyed the classical symmetry which made this music /meaningful/.

Listen to Mozart. He's the most underrated composer in history.

Were most composers alcoholics?

>tfw Beethoven was never able to take LSD
>tfw Mozart had to resort to shitty alcohol instead of god tier weed

I just want Liszt could do on cocaine

>cocaine

Probably waste his life while producing shitty uselessly virtuosistic music.
Wagner on cocaine tho, that's a whole other deal.

>wagner tries cocaine once
>immediatly comes out with the most german, raw, loud and violent opera ever written

Can't figure if this post is unwittingly ironic or not.

>what.cd died
Aw man
It had some good stuff on there too.

Where the fuck do i find good recordings?

What the fuck happened to /classical/ ???

My favourite "variations" set is "The People United Will Never Be Defeated!" - very different to the Bach and Beethoven ones though, it's 20th Century and a lot more dissonant.

Also, other Bach is probably worth recommending - in particular the Well-Tempered Clavier.

We evolved. or should i say MEMEvolved

>he was paid for 140 concerti between 1723 and 1733.
>unknown

Giacinto Scelsi, Frances-Marie Uitti – Trilogia; Ko-Tha, For Solo Cello [1992]

does anyone have this?
whatcd is ded :(

C minor ending in C major.

What's the best cello concerto and why is it Dvorak's?

Dude it's fucking radical. A double fugue, leaps and dissonancer everywhere, it's crazy

youtube.com/watch?v=sTXxxkVLx2I
wew milhaud

>What's the best cello concerto and why is it Dvorak's?
Fairly mediocre competition in comparison, that's why

C minor with a Picardy third in the last tonic chord

Yes.
